For people who use Mod Organizer and are unsure how to install the GrayFace bug fix
1) Make sure the main file (smfArena1.83-64352-1.83.rar) is installed and activated in your Install Order (Left pane) 2) Double-click on the fix file (FaceGenData-64352-.rar) in your downloads panel to start the installation 3) You should be seeing this
4) Right-click on the <data> part and select "Create Directory". Name this new directory "facegen" 5) Right-click on the facegen directory and select "Create Directory". Name this new directory "facetint" 6) Expand the facegen directory 7) Drag and drop smfArena1.8.esp onto the facetint directory 8) Click OK 9) Select "Merge"
I was able to port this over myself and it works in skyrim special edition pretty well. Just download the file and extract the bsa. Then optimize the nif's in the extracted bsa with SSE NIF Optimizer (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4089/). After that, copy the extracted bsa files to your skyrim special edition data folder. Also, copy the esp file into your skyrim data folder. Next, open skyrim creation kit and mark the smfarena1.8.esp as the active file. Then resave the esp. (Ignore all the warnings creation kit gives you). Then optimize the nif's in data/meshes/actors/character/FaceGenData/FaceGeom/smfarena1.8.esp with SSE NIF Optimizer. Download the facegendata file to fix black faces. Copy all files to data/textures/actors/character/facegendata/facetint/smfarena1.8esp. Load up Nexus Mod Manager and make sure the smfarena1.8.esp plugin is checked and you're good to go. Make sure you have skse and skyui for skyrim special edition. I don't know if these are required, but I have them and it works.
I'd love to see a tutorial on YouTube. I followed the steps but in looking at the CK warnings and converting the mod later, the arena is there but the scripting for everything is deleted.
Figured it out! Didn't realize when you said extract the BSA you meant use BAE. I did that and then converted the esp and new bsa file into a desktop rar and installed it with the mod manager, Vortex. Then followed the other steps, thanks a bunch!
Spend 10,000 on Brawl. It's in the desc. I only know this because I couldn't figure it out either and just came back to read the description to see if it was in there. And so it is.

Although Skyrim SE does have another mod where you get a fight club arena in the slums of Riften. But I still wish for a copy of Beggar's Brawl Arena.
