Sorry for my previous question, this Website was being stupid and added multiple replies. Is it possible to still have Miraak's Mask in Heavy Armor? I received it as simply clothing and it had no Armor Rating which was disappointing since I was going to use it instead of Yngol's Helmet.
Nice idea! I've noticed a few bugs in the script for the mask:
Float Speech = akTarget.GetAV("Speech" ) should be Float Speech = akTarget.GetAV("Speechcraft" )
and
Float Marksman = akTarget.GetAV("Marksmanship" ) should be Float Marksman = akTarget.GetAV("Marksman" )
Also, if understand the script correctly, if you have 2 skillsets with equal total level but not 3, you will get an error. So why not replace the if elseif elseif elseif else chain with 3 separate ifs which use >= rather than > ? That way, if the player has 2 skillsets with equal total level he will get the bonuses of those 2 skillsets. You can use some sanity check variable to check if any skillset was applied and display an error if none of then were applied.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/y9qswebeyc933s9/miraakmaskmodfix.rar That's what I use, I didn't test it that much, but it works on my save. Replacing the pex file in the Data/Scripts folder should do the trick.
Is there any way to still download the old version without the staff change? Can't seem to find it. Really liked the staffs old effect but also really love the masks new effect.
Sorry, I don't actually have any older versions without the staff change. I don't think I changed all of the staff records, so you might be able to console one of the original versions in.
1. How do I keep the mask as an armor piece rather than clothing?
2. Does Miraak receive bonuses when wearing it?
3. If you were planning on making a toned down version, would you consider taking one enchantment from all three skill sets to make an all around good item?
For example: Miraak > Dragonborn's Claw - All weapons deal 25% more damage > Dragonborn's Wrath - Destruction spells are 50% cheaper, and are 25% stronger > Dragonborn's Flight - Weapon speed 30% faster, movement speed 50% faster
4. have you considered adding this? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31321/?
1: In game, the only way to do so is by disenchanting it and then placing the enchantment onto a piece of armor (it will go on anything that can receive a fortify destruction enchantment.) If you want the actual mask, the only other way is through console. In the game files, there's about 6 variations of the mask, 2 light armor, 2 heavy armor, 2 clothing type. I believe I edited all of them, so you could still probably get one through console.
2: Yes, Miraak receives the bonuses as well. He usually gets the magic bonuses.
I made the masks clothing type, so they should already be unarmored. If your mod setup for some reason adds an armored version, you could always disenchant it and put it on something else.
Currently I think the character would only receive the quest bonuses. I need to fix that. I thought about making a 4th skillset, the "Jack of all trades" skillset. It would be difficult to obtain, but would grant amazing abilities.

If so, hopefully the author will fix this
So for example, if all skills are maxed only the mage skillset is granted.
If so, please share it (by any uploading sites, until the author reply to this issue)

3: I'm thinking about different ideas.
4: Cool idea. I might.
