Interesting idea but the draugr aren't dead. Perhaps a version with really muted breathing would be good in addition to the main function.

      No they are very dead.

      From UESP:
Draugr are ancient Nordic warriors who have been reanimated. Most draugr were followers of dragon priests in ancient times. When these priests died, their followers were killed, reanimated, and then sealed into the tomb where they would periodically awaken in order to worship the priests and transfer energy to them to maintain their undead state.

If they don't breathe, how do they shout?

breathing isn't a prerequisite of shouting, all speech needs is air moved across vocal cords to create a vibration, they do have a big inhale before shouting unlike living things (the player) that just shout, since the players lungs have air already in them.

      Also *magic*.

      Magic is always the answer.

I get the concept behind it. but in all previous tess games I can remember fleshy undead draw breath. Not out of necessity but out of instinct. This is more so with Draugr because they retain more intelligence than your average zombie or skeleton.

This is a better explanation than I had expected. Thank you.
