For those who kept trying, it doesn't work with the Dwemer pan that doesn't have a handle (form ID: 00027F03).

Another unrelated thing, is that the ability to retain heat depends on mass rather than size I believe. So if smaller cast iron pot weighs 3 and kettle weighs 2 then small iron pot can hold heat better than kettle?
EDIT wrong, just learnt that Havok mass is not the same as weight.

EDIT 2: Here are the sizes of the objects:
      Cast iron pot medium: 84
      Kettle: 68
      Cast iron pot small: 15
      Dwemer pan (with handle): 15

      --------------------------------------------------

      Size per weight ratios:
      Kettle: 34
      Cast iron pot medium: 14
      Cast iron pot small: 5
      Dwemer pan (with handle): 5

I think you should make it so that if we place a pot over a fire, it will automatically gain heat without the need for a fire spell. I've got a pot over a fire, I shouldn't have to add more fire to heat it right?

Will ANY changes to the pots/pans records be incompatible? If only weight or value are changed, will that be a problem?

Yes, it will, since the mod actually change the pots records.

You can try to merge mods using TESEdit. My mods provides only the script.

This appears to be a highly under appreciated mod. Awesome job and thanks!

Just made a quick test and it looks really promising so far.
I really like the Idea and Features!

But first thing that came in mind is,i can't leave the Pot alone and come back 1min. later without doing the process again which is really annoying.
Is there no other way to trigger it? maybe that wooden spoon or a Item that can trigger the Event while having it equipped?

      > without doing the process again

The pot keeps heat for 1 hour, so you can make it hot almost instantly. 1 real time min should be less than an hour
Note: Heating the pot without fuel is DESIGNED to be annoying. Search the campspots, so you can heat it up faster in any weather conditions

      > Is there no other way to trigger it?

Nope and I don't have plans to implement it.

Brilliant! Is it compatible with the cooking pots made lootable by Interactive Clutter? They are the ones with the same meshes used by Frostfall's Cooking pot. They cannot be picked up in vanilla, but IC changes that.

No, but I think I can make these pots interactive myself. The compatibility patch will be useless in this case.

Hmms. Seems it will require a patch anyway...

Any chance to make this work without the spells (for people like me who start characters with no magic whatsoever)?

I'll think about the torch as a firestarter. But this would be tricky to implement. Obviously, you will always have to search for a campfire in such case

      Looking forward to that!

Perhaps just the campfire should be enough, no?

Done. Perform bash attacks with a torch to heat the pot and start cooking.

      > Perhaps just the campfire should be enough, no?
      Kills the compatibility.

Would you consider adding raw food to fun too? Like placing raw food such as salmon meat in the kettle and after heating it turns into salmon steak and bypass the cooking menu altogether... Just throwing in a idea.

First, no, because it will instantly kill all the compatibility with food mods

Second, it's impossible to accurately detect that the meat is inside the kettle

Third, the steak will NOT appear in the place of the original raw meat, instead, it will "jump" to the inventory drop point (when you move the object using the Z-grabbing, you don't actually move it; thanks to the "accuracy" of the game engine; the reference formally stays in place). This is not rare situation, this will happen all the time, so the immersion will be ruined.

Looks pretty interesting. Then I saw who actually made the mod and it was instant "that's going in my load order!". Another gem
