This mod is discontinued. Having collaborated on a far more extensive and definitely better system of game mechanics, I will leave this here as a placeholder should the mod ever become full fledged. __--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------__
@mystiquemax: I don't know I'm afraid. I may need to do a re-update then if that's the case. What version are you on? And do you have any other mods? Even ones that change any animations?
@gotima: I'm afraid not my underworld fan friend (or possibly blood and chocolate?). Whilst the original game werewolves are 'Lycan' in the sense they can transform at will, the hybrid species is only ever called a hybrid. The truest of names for the species would either be 'Adlet', Vârcolac. And let's face it the term only cropped up in the last 30 years or so.
I found a strange bug. At first, everything looked fine. I did everything like you instructed and I was a Vampwolf (Werepire doesn't make any sense ^^). The first feeding after returning into vamp-form again went well. But since then, everytime I feed, there is no animation of feeding, even if the visual affects appear and the sound kicks in as does the message on the top left corner saying my vampiric powers recede as I feed. But then, I am stuck in that spot. Do you have any idea what could have caused it?
@djinn56: Well to be honest, I don't know about the stats issue. I'll certainly be updating this mod, possibly releasing an overhaul for the vamps/wolves, although I do have a portfolio due in next week so that might wait until end of feb. In Oblivion, we never really definitively got stat resetting fixed. I found a way of doing it for my game, but when I posted it only worked for about 50% of testers. So no promises.
One trick I've just though of, toggling god mode on before changing sometimes negates stat resets (by locking health and magicka). Try opening the console and using tgm before anything else and you may avoid the reset
Since the creation kit is coming out tuesday, would that help with the skill values issue? Also, dwbi, I'm not going to feel entitled to above and beyond effort from every mod out there, I understand that it's a personal mod you decided to share.
@djinn56: Oh I see. This isn't an excuse, but... 1. I didn't realise there were people who didn't play nords 2. I didn't realise everyone didn't know the console commands 3. I made this for myself and just released it as I had the spare time, and I play a nord
It's hard to remember when you learn the central coding that some people never touch on the console even
So, swap the altmer race for the original code. Apologies for not including it initially, as stated it's a tweak I made for myself and released for others to maybe enjoy. As with every mod I recommend a fresh save, but you can easily rectify your stats with less than five minutes via the console...
The easiest way (IMO) to fix your stats...
1. player.advskill (INSERT SKILL NAME I.E. LIGHTARMOR) 1000 2. Update some stats e.g. health 3. Type ' player.setlevel 1 ' into console 4. Every time you reach level 5 ish repeat until you have your happy stats...
