This post is just about RLO (as my example load order in the description used RLO). Disregard this post if you use any other lighting mod or no lighting mod at all.

Made a mistake with the load order for RLO. Do not use "RLO - Adaptive Interiors Vanilla Weathers Patch.esp" if you intend to use the weathers by RLO "Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Weathers.esp". It is only meant for use with vanilla weathers. Updated load order is in the description.

Please excuse any comment I have made about RLO removing all light from objects, as this is not true if you use the right modules in the right configuration (all other comments I have made still stand).

If you wish to use weathers from Realistic Lighting Overhaul then this should be your load order:

Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities and Town Interiors.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Exteriors.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Interiors.esp
    Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp
    Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Weathers.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Weathers.esp
    Realistic Night Eye - Original.esp

If you rather use the vanilla weathers then this should be your load order:

Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Interiors.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Minor Cities and Town Interiors.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Major City Exteriors.esp
Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dawnguard Interiors.esp
    Realistic Lighting Overhaul - Dungeons.esp
RLO - Adaptive Interiors Vanilla Weathers Patch.esp
    Realistic Night Eye - Original.esp

    LOAD ORDER FOR ELFX:

    EnhancedLightsandFX.esp
    ELFXEnhancer.esp
    ELFX - Exteriors.esp
    ELFX - Weathers.esp
    Realistic Nighteye - Original.esp

    SOME TIPS TO CONSIDER:

ELFX is very dark and works very well with the standard "ELFXEnhancer.esp". It does not work so well if you use "ELFX - Hardcore.esp" instead however. This is because the Hardcore dungeon lighting will remove pretty much all sources of light from dungeons (it is stated on the mod page that this is like this in dungeons which are uninhabited by people) meaning there will be little to no ambient light for Night Eye to amplify, rendering it useless as in some places you won't be able to see the floor (using a torch will rectify this but will obviously render Night Eye pretty much redundant). I recommend using hardcore dungeon lighting if you intend to use torches/spells or other means to light your path, especially if you want to make every dungeon feel abandoned and completely unlit.

However as I said before the standard enhancer works great in terms of being very dark and my Night Eye compliments it. So it just depends on your play style, see what works for you and know that your not missing out on anything if you don't use hardcore dungeon lighting .

Sorry about that and thanks for your time.

    Does this work with Sacrosanct?

      Hi davidy2012,

Sorry for the late reply but I have no idea if this will work. If Sacrosanct uses an alternate Night Eye/Vampire's Sight then no it won't work. If it uses the same lesser powers than yes, it will. However if Sacrosanct has effects that you like for its night vision lesser powers, then understand that my mod would overwrite them. It's very simple to test though, just load this mod after Sacrosanct and see if it works. If not then just remove this mod.

      Hi Troyremake,

Unfortunately, you are using an ENB so my mod will not work as I have no idea how to get it to function, I believe normally the ENB developer will have a way to enable it (if possible) so I suggest you check the posts on the ENB page in question to see if they have a way of getting it to work.

      On to your actual question...

I don't really know if it works with Better Vampires as I have never used that mod myself, however my mod is very light (it's a tiny esp.) so it would be very easy to test for yourself. Just place it under Better Vampires in your load order to see if it works (uninstalling it if it doesn't is as easy as just deleting it in your mod manager as it has no special removal requirements and won't damage your saves since it contains no scripts).

I looked at the website that the developer made for Better Vampires and from what I can see, they have altered how Vampire's Sight functions so it might be using a different assets they have created in the creation kit (my mod only modifies the existing Skyrim assets rather than adding any so my mod probably won't work). But as I said you won't break your game by testing out my mod but unless you can get it to work with an ENB it won't matter.

Sorry if this wasn't the answer you wanted to hear but I can't make promises that my mod will work with everything as I just don't have the time to test every possible mod out there (along with all the different options they come with), so I hope you understand and that you can get it to work.

The toggle option doesn't seem to be working for my vampire character.

Hey TacticianLyra, thanks for your post, upon checking my in the creation kit, I found that "Vampire's Sight" only had my custom night eye effect but still had the default time limit (I didn't notice it when making the mod as the "Night Eye" effect is used for both the Khajit's "Night Eye" and the Vampire's "Vampire's Sight" but only by editing their individual powers will you be able to change the duration).

Found out that I only changed the Khajit's "Night Eye" and not the Vampire's "Vampire's Sight" duration. Sorry about that. I have tested and updated the file. Just download the new file and it should work fine. Thanks again for finding this mistake .

P.S Sorry it took so long to see this and fix the issue, but I haven't played Skryim for a while and haven't looked at Nexus for quite some time .

I never use ENB's so I wouldn't know what effect this mod would have on them. The ENB would have to deactivate when Night Eye is used and reactivated when Night Eye is turned off (no idea how to do this lol) Let me know the effect if you ever try it out .

    Thank you for this!

Love RLO, but it always made me unable to see inside, so this is pretty much vital Also yeah makes /no sense/ for you to only have night vision for a minute at a time...
