While these may or may not seem a bit non-lore-friendly due to how OP (Over Powered) they could become if you start abusing it, I don't want to increase the time because then there is the issue of you not being able to use a different shout. I find it dumb if you use Call of Valor and have to wait 180 seconds before you get to use Unrelenting Force, even if say the "Call of Valor" shout is harder to "shout" (That doesn't even make sense for me).
Now obviously if you abuse the shout then that's going to be on you. Not my decision but don't complain if it seems non lore-friendly because it's going to be you who's breaking "lore" if you keep using call of valor ever 15 seconds lol. There's a line between lore-friendly and non-lore-friendly. This mod and others are right between it. If you want to powergame and abuse it then others might see it as non-lore-friendly. It's personal opinion
The line I was talking about could be seen as "Powergaming vs Roleplaying." At what point do you start breaking the lore and abusing something? Abusing any bug or glitch could be seen as powergaming. Abusing the console command to give yourself 100 in Sword Skill could be seen as powergaming. Where's the middle ground? It depends on how you can roleplay with it. Maybe your character before coming/leaving (depending on your point of view) Skyrim was a master swordsman instructor who taught perhaps taught the Imperial's/Stormcloak's finest swordsmen? Boom, you just gave yourself a roleplay reason to why your main character is a sword-swinging bad ass. Maybe the same could be said for this? While I don't have the necessary skill at this time to develop a script where shortly your shouts get easier to... shout, it's up to you on how you want to roleplay and how you view this as lore-friendly or not.

To all people hating this mod fck yall.. I enjoy every bit of this mod since 2018 and I'm using it in special edition.. I always role play as the dovahkiin and this mod is very immersive since it gives u almost the same shout cooldown as the Greybeards and Miraak... and if u think this mod is OP this is not.. when u are high level the Dragonborn shout becomes weak and it cant even barely damage a Draugr..
Maybe if you can make a Throat/Lung system. Shouts' cooldowns are like 3 seconds, but each time you shout the Throat bar increases, as it increases shouting effects are reduced and when its full you can't shout anymore. Shouting continuously eventually hurts your throat and stuff right? This way it's more realistic and cannot be abused. It's a great mod anyway, all up to us if we're gonna abuse it or not.
Technically speaking, lore-wise, the Dragonborn is a dragon... With a mortal (human/elf) body. So, theoretically, you should be as good at shouting as a dragon. That and absorbing dragon souls (something only a dragon can do) is what makes the Dragonborn special. I'm not sure if I'll use this or not, but I do like the option. As it is actually a little more lore-friendly, IMHO, than even vanilla...
I personally don't think the Dragonborn should be an equal to a dragon. Sure he has dragon powers but it should be to a lesser extent since he's still a human as well.
This mod looks great though and lore-friendly enough. I hate how I have to wait so long before a shout can recharge. But 3, 5, 7 seconds is a little too much for me. If I can, I'd like to request a longer duration alternative, somewhere around 7, 11, 15 seconds or so would be nice
Dragons have been speaking dragon-tongue since before anything. Of course they can yak all day long and wait only five measely seconds between gouts of searing fire. Just 'cause you can eat dragon souls doesn't mean howling literal primal magic (like, this is power that's been flung around since before the time of Man and Mer) through your facehole isn't going to put a severe drain on your soul/epiglottis/ability to taste anything but burning and pain. (At least, that's what I've always considered as the more canon-ish reason behind not being able to FUS GO EFFYERSELF things off cliffs every few moments. Mileage, the variance thereof, all that.)
Indeed! That mod is pretty much the reason I won't be using this mod. Still, I agree 100% with the mod author. You shouldn't be waiting for full minutes before being able to talk again.
Technical Notes: By the way, the Vanilla option will work if you have Dawnguard. The only thing is that Dawnguard adds 3 shouts and those 3 shouts will remain with their original (vanilla) shout times but all the others included in vanilla will have them changed... if that makes sense.

Well, I dunno, because it's a dragon ?

Anyway, I hope you can successfully get many dls and endorses.
