Much needed mod. However I used the new enchantment on a war axe and the lightning glow is still in the shape of the original katana. A bit immersion breaking, but I have downloaded this mod until you or someone else comes up with a solution: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1356/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D1356&pUp=1

This MOD is perfect for someone that wants the Enchantment without having to use a 1 Handed Sword. Simply disenchant the original Dragonbane Sword, and the Dragon Damage Enchantment is added to your list of enchantments, just as if it was any other Enchantment in the game. Then its Enchanted onto a weapon of choice. I used a Daedric Greatsword with level 48 Enchanting with no perks and got 15 Damage to Dragons. 10 Lightning Damage to All Others, with a Grand Soul Gem, so with maxed enchanting skill I imagine it would be even higher results. I then used the sword to fight humans, creatures and Dragons in first and 3rd person with no bugs. The lightning effect is on the sword same as on the Dragonbane sword. In conclusion, this MOD is basically as close to Legit as possible, short of Bethesda themselves adding this into the game, otherwise you'd never know it was a MOD how perfect it works. Plus the Author fixed the description bug all the other MODs on the nexus had with "x Dragon Damage. x Dragon Damage", not an issue here! Great MOD and highly recommended! Have screenshots, post if you'd like a link!

I've always thought the enchantment would have been more useful on a bow than a sword. Less dangerous from a distance.

True, but it’s a display problem. Anyway I’ve tried this mod with a bow, one I’ve crafted and one that I’ve purchased, no other mods active no other enchantments on the bow. And in all cases while in the first person the enchantment animation on the bow string is off. It’s not showing on the bow string but (talking in 3D) in front of the string closer to the hand. In any event it’s not enough for me to stop using the mod.

Post your problem, mate. Even if the author is not active and cannot help, other modders will. If nobody knows what's wrong, nobody will help for sure.

Thank you very much for this mod, I always thought it wasn’t fair that we could enchant other weapons to help slay those pesky dragons.

I think I found a slight problem with your mod, but not knowing if you plan on doing any updates to it I’ll wait and see if you respond to this comment before I mention the problem I found.

Awesome. My main playthrough is a dragonslayer with heavy armor and a greatsword. I wanted an enchantment specifically against dragons for roleplaying purposes, but I just couldn't see my guy hacking through dragon scales with a puny little katana. I wished I could disinchant Dragonbane and add it to my greatsword, and now I can! (hopefully, I'll see if this works.)
