Cool Mod! Thanks! There is a quite new mod, adding unarmed stuff, claws, effects etc.:

This mod made playing as a monk/unarmed character less of a nightmare. Thank you!

Does this work with armors added by mods?

From what I can see in the creation kit, the actual effects of the perk only apply if you are wearing any of the vanilla gauntlets: iron, steel, dwarven, steel plate, orcish, ebony, dragonplate, or daedric (in that order). Isn't this a problem for mods that add new armors?

How would I adjust it so that it works for armor mods?

I'm curious--the game doesn't actually use pure armor rating, as you explained below, but would it be possible to mod it so that it does? Or at least, possible to do it within some kind of realm of reason. I imagine it's a bit more difficult that replacing a variable, but player-facing armor rating is a referable variable, right? So could it be possible to mod Fists of Steel to assign additional/base unarmed damage to equal to that variable instead of looking at armor type and assigning damage equal to it's base rating? Or would that be infinitely more hassle than it'd be worth?
