Yeah, I knew 1.4 would probably unbalance things. I tried to provide options, from those who just want there to be a difference between the types of swords, to those who wish to wield them and become Ninja Master Deathkill. 1.2 is what i use, it's got a nice speed difference you can feel, but there are still more powerful weapons so you won't feel like only using the katanas. Thx for the feedback, and the endorsements folks.
Nice mod..worked fine, when the timer runs down will endorse. Edit: After play testing for a bit I found the 1.4 version too overpowering even with the downgrade damage modifier, I found the 1.2 to reflect the katana's speed much better without becoming too unbalanced, if there is not some sword play one handed combat tends to rise very slowly. I made a fraps video of each speed to compare and ran them side by side after, there was little difference between vanilla and 1.1, 1.2 showed a noticeable increase and as I said 1.4 was overboard. I was using my Blades Katana's in dual flurry grade two mode. Hope the feedback helps.
Hmm, well that's kind of tough to answer directly. I had seen another modder mention Skyedit, so i decided to check it out. Once I got that running, I found it was pretty similar to the CS of morrowind and oblivion, so I got to playing around with it. Skyedit has a wiki with help, but it assumes you have some general modding experience before beginning their brief tutorial. The only thing i can recommend is what i did, which is to get Skyedit and trial and error. Hell, the first time i uploaded this file, the files would cause CTD. I've got that problem ironed out, but i still feel like a kid trying to drive for the first time.
