can somebody please fix this for SSE or give an in-depth explanation on how to fix it? i have GIMP but none of the files will open in gimp, says unrecognized file type
Just downloaded this today to try out in SSE. Sure enough, textures were red as others have said. But regenerating mipmaps fixed it. The textures opened in GIMP for me. You may be missing the GIMP dds plugin depending on what version you have. Someone on Nexus uploaded a GIMP dds plugin for FO4, but it should work for Skyrim as well. Open all the main textures in GIMP (not the textures that have _n in them), so for example, top.dds but not top_n.dds. When it asks to load mipmaps, uncheck that and all the others. Choose File, Export as, choose yes to replace, pick BC1/DXtT1 for compression (the very first one), keep format default, choose generate mipmaps and hit okay. Do this for all the main textures. Then you will need a program to fix the meshes. I use SSE Nif optimizer. Run the exe and select the mesh folder. I opened the mod in the CK and resaved it to update the form number. Unless the author gives someone permission, no one will be able to share this on SSE.
pretty sure the MA doesn't care if someone uploads this for SE (copied from the readme under sharing and caring): I don't mind what you do with it.
and under the permissions (also under credits: Thanks to Halo Mods for making this awesome essemble and Permission of "Caring and Sharing") tab it says sharing is caring so yeah i think it's pretty safe to upload this to the skyrim SE nexus

OK, I was going to ask why the armor was called Sadistic Magician but you explained it. Good to know. Not sure I get it, but I don't get a lot of things, so there you go. Awesome, endorsed, thanks so much.
Yup, I opened up the textures in GIMP, saw that was in Grayscale, set the Image -> Mode -> to RGB -> export(save) and now it's back to the original color. Maybe SSE doesn't like grayscale mode?

I love UNP and I was just curious if you'll be adding BBP to it? I looked in your Read Me and Description Page before asking just in case; but I didn't see anything about BBP.

So, I followed your tutorial and IT WORKED! Running on 1.6.640! The hands are weird bc I use 3BA but CBBE sure does work
