This is my second mod and I figured out the trick to getting the dragonbone weapons and dragon plate armor.

Download directly into the skyrim main folder (the one with the launcher.exe)

Open up the file and change the xx in the last half of the code with what ever number after the Skyrim.esm you have Dawnguard.esm DLC set.  For example mine is 03 because it is third.
