Hi there, just wanted to ask if you plan on adding the dwemer ballista spiders to the dwemer structures in Skyrim. I feel like people forget about these little bastards, because if you try looking them up all you'll get is there wiki page. Regardless love your mod.
I was wondering why this hadn't been made earlier this week actually. You have at least a download from me.
I was wondering, where did you place the staff enchanters at the College of WInterhold? And did you make sure it didn't conflict with Immersive College of Winterhold? If not, would you like me to check and see if it is?
The staff enchanter can be found in the hall of countenance, on the 1st floor (if you count the bottom floor as ground floor) in a small unused room. I didnt touch any of the original layout or items in that room. Just added the enchanter against the wall along with some decoration (carpet, lights, Animal heads ect..)
AS to Immersive College of Winterhold, I do not use that mod so I cannot be sure if they conflict. If you use it and you are happy to check for me that would be awesome
I have yet to test it with immersive college of Winterhold but looking at the videos, screenshots and reading the description of taking empty/needless storage rooms and adding uses to them I am going to guess that my mod may cause some issues. I am hoping to test it this weekend and will let you know.
The room where this mod puts a staff enchanter was changed into a room of Dwemer books and relics by ICW. Thus, the enchanter mesh overlaps with a book shelf and some assorted items. You can move in and out of the cell without CTD, in my testing, and you can use the enchanter with no major issues. It just looks kinda awkward.
Personally, I would like a patch that moves the enchanter someplace else, though I couldn't imagine where. ICW really packs the college to the gills with stuff.
Could you possibly make an optional esp without the staff enchanting stuff. It just seems a bit too lore-unfriendly considering how dunmer like the staff enchanter looks. It also feels like a bit of a spoiler too. The rest of the mod sounds great but this issue is preventing me from using it.
Agreed. Neloth used his master enchanting skills and knowledge to make the staff enchanter, which is a unique item. It doesn't make sense for anyone else to have it. Neloth, and the Telvanni in general, have no regard for and no reason to share with others. Of course, it also doesn't make sense that you can't enchant staves like any other weapon like you could in Morrowind, or why it requires heart stones when it didn't before, but that's just how the lore was rewritten. Since this mod is about lore and immersion, there are only 2 options:
1. Remove the extra staff enchanters. Only Neloth has one. 2. Favor Morrowind's lore over Skyrim's and make it so that you can enchant staves at any enchanting table. This would also mean getting rid of Neloth's staff enchanter and any notes/dialogue related to it, as he wouldn't need one.
I thought it might conflict with Boars of Skyrim but I have been running the two together the last few days and seems there is no issue.
I dont change the boar in any way just add it to the leveled lists so it would seem that they should work together-just higher chances of spawning boar. I will make a note of it in the readme though as a possible but unknown conflict.
Whichever one is loaded last will win. I recommend loading immersive creatures last, or you'll miss out on some of it's other creatures. If you make a bashed patch, you'll get boars very often, and less other creatures.

Version 4 change the staff enchanters in Skyrim to something more fitting their environment.
I am looking into ICW and seeing if and how a compatibility patch can be made.
Please be patient.
Sorry if this has been asked before somewhere but will you be porting to Skyrim SE ?
If you do :
Arthmoor has a knowledgebase of potential porting issues Skyrim - Things to know converting to SSE
And for any mesh conversions, everyone relies upon SSE NIF Optimiser
Its good to see old school bringing some quality mods to the newer engines, you have some very nice ideas among your files.
I am not sure yet if i will be porting over but I haven't ruled it out yet

Both mods change a variety of leveled lists so you need to use Wrye Bash to merge the lists together.
hope this helps
