I've released version 1.3. This version comes with a few bug fixes after playing through this mod on a new playthrough of my own. A number of the bugs described in the comments have been addressed. Some of the issues described in the comments I simply haven't been able to reproduce, and so I can't do anything for them. Most of these are almost certainly caused by a conflicting mod, or unmet prerequisites (wrong Skyrim or SKSE versions).
I hope this version works for everyone as well as it works for me.
I was doing a great run in my game and I decided to install the mod. The vendor never entered the place and the mannequins moved everywhere so I decided to uninstall it and the freaking house is missing the doors and everything was lost. Thank you very much.
HHi, I installed your Druken Dragon mod in the Special Edition and loved it! I would like to play this mod too, do you have any plans to release it in the Special Edition?
I'm probably a bit late to the party here but... Brenuin? really? He ain't my first choice of operative for my shop, Please can we have someone else, the Greymane girl, perhaps, I understand that Ysolda has... problems and could bring the shop into disrepute (cold Heisenberg batch she is) but even a made up one... what about Camilla from Riverwood, it would at least get her out of her brother's bedroom... Hey what about Nazeem''s missus... pleasant to look at tidy of mind and bored as f..k
Please anyone, (preferably female) would be better than Brenuin
PS. Sorry I got so hung up on Brenuin that I forgot to say.. It worked like a dream... followed easy instructions and have shop, opened chest, got salesman, got followed into shop by Nazeem yakking at me killed Nazeem, became enemy of the state...me and Lydia may have to start a new life somewhere else, anyway IT WORKS THANK YOU :) Oh, did I mention I'm not keen on Brenuin... oh what am I saying, of course I did!
I hired the beggar dude, and the only dialogue option I get is something about clothes. In the description it said that I could make him decorate the shop. What's up with that?
I'm working on an SSE port for my similar mod, The Drunken Dragon. There will be no port for Breezehome Store as is. If I do ever come back to this mod it would be to rebuild it similar to DD so that you can use any follower as a shopkeeper and yes, that would have an SSE version. But I really can't commit to working on this at all. Unless you know someone who does insulation and can put 8 inches of polyiso in my attic for under $1000.
Not sure how or why but this mod completely breaks the follower system if you're using EFF, I had to uninstall it clean my save with Save Tool and then reinstall it after removing this and yes I did use the uninstall console command before uninstalling and reinstalling EFF.
Hi and thanks for this wonderful mod. I really enjoy it!
There is one small change I would like to have / know how to do. At the moment, if my blacksmith character crafts even an iron dagger, its value is about 120. Meaning that because the value cap is set at 100 septims, it will always sell only one item per check. I would like to be able to sell maybe 3 or 5 items at once? Not because of the gold, but because right now if my character spends one day crafting, it will take a month in-game for them to be sold. I really don't need to restock my shop and that's a bummer. It kinda takes away the feeling that my blacksmith needs to work to keep his shop running.
So how I could make this change myself or could you be so kind that you could make alternative version? I only ask because my tries to make this happen only broke the whole mod... Ups. Anyway, thank you for your amazing mod, I'll be playing it even without these changes ^^
If I do get around to rebuilding ths mod like I plan, I will include a SkyUI menu to configure all the various settings in the mod. Pray that I inherit a large sum of money from a rich uncle I never knew I had so that I can quit my day job and spend all day modding
I of course understand that real life can keep one quite busy. I managed to take a look on the scripts, and I think all I would need to do is change the variable that checks the value of items from 100 to something else so it would pick up more items, is that so? If it is, could you upload a loose files-version? I do not know how difficult that is so I'm sorry if I actually ask something very time consuming. It just seems every BSA I unpack and then repack gets corrupted, but maybe I could get it to work if I could get my hands into the script files themselves? Anyway, thanks for the mod and your response!
Hello! I was very much hoping to use this, but I am running Open Cities and there are some posts earlier in the thread which make me suspect this is broken with Open Cities.
I recently came across this Nexus guide explaining in detail how to patch mods to make them compatible with Open Cities and the process seems fairly simple, mercifully. I wanted to ask, would you be at all interested in making an Open Cities patch?
I'm more than willing to try this myself if you don't have the time but I don't want to inadvertently screw up the mod and frankly don't have much any experience doing this sort of thing, so doing it myself is a sort of option of last resort.
Because of the special way I made this mod to avoid incompatibility with other Breezehome specific mods, it's no simple task to make it compatible with Open Cities. If I get the time and inclination, I have half a mind to rebuild this mod from scratch anyway. Just to fix some of the bugs and improve on the compatibility. But with real world considerations (I haven't even played Skyrim in months, much less modded for it) you probably should not get your hopes up
What particular issues would there be that would cause additional complications? I understand you may not want to do it yourself, and that's fine, but if someone else were to try, what should the be looking out for or what could be missed that would need to be fixed?
