BEAUTIFUL. I wish you would retexture all the armors and if not all, just he imperial (for uniformity/consistency) and elven armors. Thanks again for your work.
If anybody is trying to get the gauntlets to work:
Just replace the ones in this mod with the gauntlet files from the original. there's no noticeable loss in quality and it works without them just being pitch black for some reason.
I used this so far with several ENB's and also NLVA. It is so far very, very bright, the coloring is dark but the details seem lost in the color for me. I'm think it is missing a bit of detail even though it is supposed to be shiny on armor textures like this, is it possible to use another layer for this, similar to a tattoo or mark/scar?
Or would that be better to do in the actual texture? I really like this retexture because I used the original Shiny before this but now I actually feel guilty for breaking down the armor in the smelter now.
Good work as usual. I would like to see a different level of detail in this, mostly enhancement of the sword cuts to the armor, if a sword hit it, it would make sense to leave variously sized cleave marks in the armor. Just a thought.
Short answer: Erase original files and Redownload. If you are still having black armor problems, you can simply copy the original mesh folder from http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34113/?
These are MTichenor's original mesh files. I think this works fine.
Long answer: You must have the correct .nif from the original mod. Pfuscher (God among modders) says he included it, but it is possible that something is glitched, as several people seem to not be getting the right reflections, and the armor is appearing dark and dull black/blue.Thats a sure sign that the .nifs/meshes are not mapping reflections to the armor surface.
I made a bashed patch and something went wrong with my colors, too. I corrected the problems I was having by copying the original MTichenor nifs over. These add _d and _n .dds maps, but most importantly also: _m (~"metallic shininess") and the cube maps (reflections) to what is otherwise a dark blue/grey, dull armor - as described by some posters.

Endorsed.
EDIT: Nevermind, I solved the issue.
