Yeah, these simple little mods are pretty much dead now. I made them back before the CK was out, using Skyedit. I've never encountered that problem before, and I've played that quest several times using these mods. Perhaps it was a certain version, i don't know. But yeah, I'm sure there's bound to be better mods than this out there, so if you're having this issue just disable the mod, like he said. Sorry about that, Jeffsteel.
I dunno if this mod is updated any more, but be warned that it breaks the weapons Eduj and Okin from the Silenced Tongues quest in Volunruud. These weapons apparently use the Nord Hero template, and however the author edited it game breakingly screws them up. Their models wont load and you'll get a CTD when trying to loot the corpse of the boss you get them off of, or if you try to equip them after adding them to your inventory via console in an attempt to circumvent the previous crash. If you are having this issue, uninstall this mod, load you save, and the weapons will work properly, fixed it for me anyhow. The author should look into this issue in any case.
@sushisquid I checked over the stats, and you're right, they are now a bit too powerful (especially factoring in the weight.) I was toying with the idea of making options to increase speed/decrease damage, and now I believe I must. thanks for the feedback. Oh, and I think i've said it before but your mods made my mage character much more enjoyable.
A +5 bonus is very large on base damage. The weapons normally have skyforge steel/elven damage (except the bow, which is weaker). You've made all of them but the bow now stronger than daedric. Was it your intention to make them the strongest weapons in the game?
The point of Nord Hero weapons is that they have great damage, but are incredibly light. This makes the bow faster and the weapons cost less stamina to power attack. Making them also have the highest damage in the game seems a bit too good.
Brilliant work mate. I've been using the Greatsword now for ages and it was seriously underpowered, for a weapon you get fairly far into the game, especially after finishing the companion quest line, seems a little disappointing when you get them finally, I had ebony weapons/armor by then and they really were bad in comparison. The +5 is perfect and doesnt overpower them like most people seem to want to do. Excellent work! Endorse asap
