So I guess I'm a little late to the party, but after trying about 30 different ENB presets, I have to say this is the absolute best ENB preset for my personal taste. I finally have the Oldrim that I've been wanting for 2 years! Thank you so much for all the time and work that you put into this!
Hi DrDocter, thanks for that good ENB! The colours and their balance are great, same goes to the DoF. Everything is subtle and smooth.
However, there's a small problem, I've got a grid in the shadows and would like to ask how to fix that, just look closely at the npcs face and it's especially noticeable in snowy regions:
Btw, are you still working on that enb? There's still room for improvement: In some bad weather nights the trees are snow white or some distant clouds are black when the overall weather already changed at sunrise. And the sun is never blinding or bright, as seen in Hodiltons video at 1:38min.
The fps are excellent, especially after setting EnableSupersampling=false in the enbseries.ini. Or am I getting something wrong? Because there's AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions=false in the enblocal.ini.
Yes, sorry for the inconveniance, for the past few months I have been working on Docter's ENB V5 here: http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/2uzaht/mod_releasedocters_enb_v5/.
To fix the sun problem, just go into the [Sky] and play with the sun intensity, BUT if Procedural Sun is on, then you must do this in [Procedural Sun] settings. About the grid problems I have no Idea what may cause this, I will probably play with this ENB a lot more once I finish Docter's ENB V5.
For the weathers, they are all based on my other ENB, so they may be messed up a bit, but play around with the brightness, ambient setting in the [Environment] till you get somethiung, sorry I couldn't help much, I am busy with the New ENB and many work for school.
This my favorite ENB, for several reasons. 1.) It has DOF which is awesome. 2.) Doesn't change the entire hue of Skyrim. 3.) It fits perfectly with the rest of my mods installed. It does have quite an impact on performance if many HQ textures are installed. The lowest FPS I've gotten to is about 34. Mind you I'm using an AMD R9 290 which is quite the powerhouse.
Really, well I have a 770, so I really thought you would get better FPS over me.I don't have many HQ textures installed though, only about 3 TP and 5 or 6 misc packs and I've optimized them all. Every bad texture is about fixed and good performance. Well, glad you like. I wil work on better performance to the best of my ability.
I have quite a few 4k textures mixed with mostly 2k textures on EVERYTHING. Surprisingly, indoors tends to be worse than outdoors. Lets see, I use ELFX, CaBal, Skyrim 2k, Flora Overhaul, WATER, that one new mod that called Radioactive or something like that and a few other smaller packs. It takes quite the toll on my system. I am starting to suspect some of the 4k textures are partly the cause. Tis the struggle of modding Skyrim, you have to make sacrifices.
Also, what tweaks to the ENB would result in about 10 FPS. They really don't need to be major, just enough to get me out the stuttery feel of 30-45 fps.
I have looked at many other ENBs but just about all of them change the hue of the lighting to something undesirable. I don't really have any experience with tweaking ENBs either to know how to change it. Also, try to be a bit more constructive such as actually recommending specific ENBs.
Alright, I know partly the interiors was caused by Skyrim Radioactive. Onto the point I wanted to state, I think there is an .ini tweak in SkyrimPrefs that is causing the stupidly low FPS. I use MO and created another mod profile which also includes a separate set of .ini's. I did this because I have two different characters with which I use different mods. With the new profile, my FPS stays very high, as in 50-70FPS. Now I just have track down the tweak and obliterate with the power that is my hand, mouse, and keyboard. MUAHAHHHAHA.
This is definately a very neat ENB configuration congrats. My R9 270x does not have any performance hit with this. I'm going to upload images here (with tiny tweaks in your config).
This ENB looks great and has a low enough impact on my 970 that I can turn on all features and maintain 55 FPS or higher everywhere despite having texture and grass mods as well. Great work.
