I can but I'd like to add the modified meshes as an optional file to my mod here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61099/? so that I can update and add more content. It will, of course, require that the person downloads your mod for it to work.
I like the fact that you're actually trying to improve the equipment of the legion, though it's late for that kind of stuff.
I use Davis237834 's Roman style shields, though they're ridiculously orange from behind, I think the shape is much more better and the fact that it actually looks like metal in comparison to your heavy one puts me off on yours straight away. Besides, I think you need to think about the width more than the height on that particular one, just a tweeny weeny bit.
The 'Auxiliary', however, looks like something a 12 year old made in art class. Too many fancy green stuff on top of a red. The Solitude mark on the top looks like it's a freakin' brand. I thought Skyrim wasn't meant to have companies that make things. Now, it seems, they do.
Hello there! Great work, highly appreciated! I already use your other shield replacer, now, I'd like to use them both, and thought about several possibilities, like replacing the Solitude shields (since the Solitude symbol is already on the shield), but I'm not too sure, I feel like I'd miss the Solitude shields, now, is there a possibility to randomly give both shields into the Imperial NPCs inventory? Or like give the Auxiliary shield to "normal" Imperials and the bigger tower shield to only higher ranking officers?
Just uploaded a guide on how to replace vanilla meshes/textures with custom ones if you're interested in giving that a go. Check the downloads section of the mod. I can upload more replacer versions if you like but I'd prefer to keep the number of files low. Hope it helps.
That sounds very nice, I'll do it myself, now, I know it would mean extra work and don't even know if that's possible, but would it be possible to make a one-for-all pack, where you can choose which meshes/textures you'd like to replace in an installer? That could help the lazy people!
EDIT: Done, that's really easy, and good explained, I just replaced my Solitude shield, for now, let's see how it does.
I like it, Auxiliary means additional support, often in Roman terms, people not of Roman origin in the army was called Auxilia. Makes sense for the shield to carry the mark of Solitude as it represents local recruitment and not of Imperial origin, however yet they make up a good source of legionaires in Skyrim. Very good eye for detail and quality
