Great mod! This is was my dream long time.
But. I have a many many favorites, which are distributed in the quick sets menu SkyUI.
Is it possible to add a new magic spell to reset all items but except favorites? Favorites items should remain on me. Please.

It won't remove favorite items. It won't remove equipped items either.

Hi everyone, long time no see. This mod is sort of superseded my new mod Useful Alteration:

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65433/?

That mod also provides a sorting system, but it differs from One Click in the following ways:

    1. It's zero click. When you cast Arcane Terminus in a home, a little swirl appears -- step into the swirl to sort your inventory.
    2. It is much, much faster -- usually instantaneous.
    3. It won't remove quest items from your inventory.
    4. It WILL sort favorited items, unfortunately.
    5. It WILL sort equipped items, unfortunately.
    6. BUT, you can use the Sympathetic Anchor spell to prevent items from being sorted, even if they aren't favorites.
    7. Useful Alteration will only let you set up sorting in one home at a time.
    8. You don't start with the spell; you have to buy it as a scroll or tome from a spell vendor.
    9. You also get like 18 other spells to play with.

Long story short, Useful Alteration is basically superior to this mod. If you like this mod, you should check out Useful Alteration as an alternative.

Any way to make this wonderful mod work with Apocalype's Deep Storage spell?

This seems the easiest sorting mod I've seen for Skyrim yet, great job.

One thing though, would it be possible to make it work "outdoor"? I'm asking because I'm particularly fond of houses with no loading doors (for example Grey Ledge Manor), meaning they're technically "outside" which makes dropping your loot much faster.

In any case, keep up the good work, this is a great idea.

I really enjoy this mod as well.

A note on "outdoor" houses: If the spell were able to be cast outside, it seems like it would be a risky maneuver without manually setting each chest individually. Although this is what I did in my indoor house anyway, if you forgot to do that for whatever reason on initial setup, your inventory would be sent across the lands and you wouldn't know what chests it was in.

      Just a thought

Yeah, I guess so. Somehow I thought there might be a "range" for the spell to work with , but knowing Papyrus I guess it's pretty much a given that such a thing doesn't exists... (Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it, it should be possible to add a magic effect in the spell that "flag" the containers within a certain range. After that, the spell could differentiate the "good" containers from the "bad" ones while trying to figure out which containers to use when cast outdoor)

I could easily live with manually setting up the containers and then just cast the spell whenever you're in the same cell. That would probably be much easier for the mod author to implement.

A possible fix would be that when you cast the spell, it runs a check for whether it's in an interior or exterior cell. And if you're in an exterior cell, it will not run the auto-sorting until you've manually assigned a container for each of the 8 item types.

OK, a few thoughts here. I was thinking of adding a (blech) popup menu when you first cast it, just in case you accidentally cast it in a dungeon. So you'd get a confirm/cancel choice -- that would prevent most issues with outdoor setups.

Also, I absolutely can add a distance filter for the container aliases. I really should have just done that to begin with.

With those two changes, this mod should be safe for outdoor use. Probably won't get to it until the weekend though.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement.

As threatened, there is a new version that allows for outdoor use. You'll get an annoying popup the first time you cast it in a cell to confirm you really want to do it, but no popup thereafter. There is a range of 1000 units for the containers it picks by default, so it *should* be rather safe... But I only tested it a little, so please save before trying it and let me know if you encounter weird issues with your particular outdoor abode.

BTW, this mod + Haven Bag is STARTLING FUN.

Well I hotkey Haven Bag and hotkey this, so ZAP to the bag, ZAP unload inventory, ZAP back to the game. Much quicker than fast travel, etc, though YMMV. (And Haven Bag is a TOTAL cheat, so there's that.)

    Very useful, Thank You!

Had an idea maybe of also being able to specify a specific category to dump instead of always all categories.
More of a piecemeal approach as an option. Would be interested to know if that's possible.

    Cheers!

Well, I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible, so you just hit the button and it does it.

Note that equipped items and favorited items aren't sorted, so if you have a handful of things you never want to sort, just mark them as favorites. There are various mods that will let you have "pages" of favorites that might be helpful too.

Yeah, figured you might not want a convoluted setup as that would belie the whole point of simplicity.

      Thanks for responding, Cheers!

Would this work with already scripted containers? (Like those added by FunctionalHomes (Gorey666)) ?

It should work with any container, even ones that are already scripted. (This mod doesn't attach new scripts to anything.) But, some scripted behaviors are dangerous -- some houses have "garbage" containers that delete whatever you put in them, for instance. Be sure to save before trying one.

Having a smidge of trouble with this sortingy things where they actually belong. Perhaps it's something I'm doing wrong, but I'm not sure how... my Food cabinet is also catching items like gems, ingots, leather, etc... When I try to manually set a chest for those items, the dialogue comes up properly "this container will be for junk" or what have you, but the items continue to be sorted into the food container.

Hm, weird. Try setting a new container for food and see if that helps? I'll look into what could be causing this, thanks for reporting it.

For some reason, that worked out just fine. I'm not sure why I didn't just try that in the first place. Thanks!

That looks like one HUGE script. I know it is intended to be ran in small, indoor cells, but still... Is this recommended/working as intended if I have a heavily modded, almost unstable game?

Dunno, I don't run that many mods myself. However, the script in this mod only executes when you cast the spell, so it shouldn't bog down your game.

Also, lots of the stuff in the script only fires the first time you cast it. The complicated part is the logic for picking the default containers, which only happens once per cell.

(The indoor filter is just there to prevent a player from accidentally sorting their stuff into a chest a mile away across the tundra.)

Long story short, give it a shot, let me know if your game blows up and I can try to optimize it better. But I don't think you'll have a problem.

"Heavily modded" isn't a problem, "heavily scripted" could be.

The faster your CPU is, the more scripts you can handle. But one thing is certain, there comes a point when your CPU can't handle anything extra. And by extra, it can simply be asking for displaying a notification. When you're at the limit, even a "drop in the ocean" is too much.

So if you have a heavily scripted game and ask yourself if you can run the mod correctly, the mod author can't answer that question for you as it's impossible for him to test this. All you can do is try the mod and see for yourself.

Also, if your game is already unstable, anything can make it implode, that's not related to this mod.

Looks like Nexus is borked at the moment -- I'm having trouble downloading other recent mods as well (not just my own.)

Sorry, not much I can do.

Yup, the filedelivery.nexusmods.com seems to be down, theres no response from the servers when pinging, not even a registered server host, on any of the main servers by that name?! I doubt nexus can do much about this. Seems like a 3'rd party issue tbh, so it might take time. :S
