    Man this mod is a must have for those of you out there who love the vampire and love decking out castle volkihar to truly and properly resemble a house fit for your vampire coven. some of you are wondering if its compatible with CASTLE VOLKIHAR REDUX. it is, BUT, there are some things you should take into consideration as there are a few misalignments with the new geometry. for example; the outside of the daedric south tower (outside the walls not inside) the the door is blocked off by a thin strip of castle wall. it can be easily removed by selecting it in the console and typing disable, however if you look too hard at the door leading inside of the tower it obviously looks like it isnt even correctly attached to the castle, particularly from the angle to the right. Another gripe is that where volkihar redux makes all of the gargoyles leading up the bridge to the castle "Real" this mod will instead make some of them "fake" again, likely becasue in vanilla some of the pedestals remain statueless after dawnguard is complete. another thing i have noticed is that the garden will now also have scattered chunks of castle wall or debris. these can be disabled also but they will leave exposures in the map (some bigger than others). fortunately their locations are in very obscure corners that you are not likely to venture towards and can barely be noticed unless you're really looking, so it wont hurt the beautiful appearance as bad as you might think. those were the only things that were "out of order" so to speak that i noticed. All in all though i recommend it. if you're good at roleplaying and not letting anatomical misalignments such as the ones i decribed get in the way of your immersion, then do yourself a favor and get this mod! hope that helps

      Did you find out? cause I'm thinking of using both as well
      if it's not do you know a mod that cleans up the castle interior without conflict with this mod or cause anyything bad?
      preferably something that keeps the Vampire dark and eerie feel inside as well

    Really great castle, love the exterior design, very intimidating yet fitting the theme of Molag Bal.

    Having tested it and played with Castle Volkihar Redux, it works fine, at least for me. If anything, there are a few minor details in the courtyard, but those are hard to notice unless you go looking for them (mostly minor clipping from some of the gargoyle statues), but the quests work as intended, so no worries there.

    For this mod, like some have mentioned before, the gaping hole where the basic castle and the TOMB upper levels transition can be a bit unsightly, and the upper levels are basically empty. Some decoration would go a long way to making it a worthy addition to Castle Volkihar. Oh, and I was expecting my computer to eat my dog and then explode, burning my house down in the process, but I guess that feature hasn't been implemented in this version yet.

    Other than that, I endorse this mod for the fantastic exterior design and how well it adds to the atmosphere of the Volkihar Castle, especially with Castle Volkihar Redux.

    you know, I'm really disappointed in this mod. I was really hoping it would burn down my house and eat my dog, but I guess I'll just have to do that myself. 0/10.

    the exterior is nice shame this is not usable until you fix the interior lod bug thumb down until you fix it.

    I really love what you have done with castle volkihar! the new meshes and textures are really great! The new interior areas are awesome too! However I thought I should let you know that when you try to enter the castle from the door at the new battlement to the west of the castle it will not let you enter, if I toggle collision and walk forward a little it will though, it is almost like there is something invisible blocking my way. it also did something similar when I tried to activate a door at the battlement on the south side of the castle, the door did not connect to anything I realize but it was similar to the other one in that I had to toggle collision and walk forward to activate it so I thought you might like to know. I was able to enter and exit the other doors without any problem. Also would you mind if I built a castle in the creation kit with these new meshes and textures? If I do I promise I will credit you for them.
