First off I wanted to say this is really cool! I loved the look of the Ebony armor in Oblivion and the Skyrim version just didn't do it for me. It wasn't as slick as Oblivion and a bit bulky, plus I frankly love the yellow gilded parts of the armor. It adds in a bit of color that is needed. The only suggestion I have is have you thought of doing an opened helmet thing on this armor? I know they exist and it would look more true to the Oblivion style if you could see the player's eyes and mouth. Agains it's just a suggestion, the armor is already perfect, but if you wanted to go for an Oblivion look then that could be something worth looking into. However I don't know how to mod so I have no idea how complicated it would be. Nevertheless I love the armor. Great work my friend.

The armor is the best looking suit of ebony I've yet found on the nexus, so thanks for making it

Also, I found a bit of a bug, while wearing the chest piece my arm becomes invisible while using bows. When I use a bow (any bow) all I can see is my hand holding the bow or if wearing gauntlets I see the inside of the gauntlet.

This seems to be a problem with custom armors in general.

I've been looking for an ebony armor set using the steel plate set as a base model for a long time. The only comment I would make is that I like the looks of this set, based on steel plate as it is, but if you or someone else could make one just black, without all the gilding that would be great! I mean no offense, but this set looks like a Nordic Zorro set, like the Blued Steel Plate Armor. I would just like to see a set like this all black, and able to craft it with just ebony ingots. I'm a real newbie, and I haven't a clue how to craft a set myself, even after watching several videos on Youtube. Thanks again for all you're work, I've endorsed before I've even crafted it.

Hi, thanks for the good feedback, but see, i can understand your request but doing a complete retexture would take a bit of time and it would not help me doing this for one user. Also im always quite busy. Of course you could do this yourselfe if youd know how, but as you written, you dont know how to :/
Maybe you find a user helping you out

Half of my arms are invisible in first person.
Also the chest plate turns pitch black in third person.

No like i can see the texture up close but as I scroll out in third person it turns pitch black.
It only happened the first time. Next time I booted up skyrim it worked fine. except the invisible arms.

Nice to see this mod here. I've started converting to the Nexus thanks to the Steam/Workshop limitations and problems being too much to bother with. I see potential with this mod, so it survived the load order conversion.

Awesome mod! Is the new blade of woe standalone or a retexture (and what is it called)?

it is a standalone weapon with own model and texture, called "the ancient blade of woe" as it is over 200 years ago, the player had it in oblivion

I didn't like the idea of making us get firewood to make the armor, the gold makes sense and I can go to the Reach to get the gold ingots after killing off the forsworn but the wood requirement really throws me off.

However the armor looks badass so I'm totally going to download.

I am sorry you don't like the recipe way, this was changed with v3.0. I just thought it would make a bit more sense than just using the normal ebony ingot as this is not what the armor is ment to be. But i think if you have no problems finding gold ingots, you also will find a woodcutter axe and some wood

inb4 front page. Seriously this looks absolutely sublime. I've always wanted to see an armor like this! Once I see it in game, consider this mod endorsed.
