Mod works fine. Base image should be 2048 wide x 1137 tall. open with paint and add a void to top till you get to 1416. then add void to bottom till you get to 2048. so image is 2048 x 2048. finally convert image to dds. web is filled with programs to do that. drag final image to the folder where his other images are placed in this mod.
Your method works great but you can just rename the file from X.png to X.dds and despite being warned of the file extension change, the image loads beautifully. Thank you, I was tired of the dragon.
I added my personal picture, but in the main menu it is way to big (like zoomed in or stretched) and much of the pic is missing. Do i have to make it smaller or bigger? The Picture has resolution 1600x900, just like my skyrim game settings. I converted it from bmp to dds with "http://www.easy2convert.com/bmp2dds/". Dunno what to do.....

Resizing did not work. No matter if i use 1366x768, or 1600x900, or 1920x1080 (would be great), or 1280x720, it is ALWAYS strechted in height. So i don't know if a resize feature would solve this problem. Seems to be something else.
I'm having the same problem I'm using hundreds of mods that replace the main menu screen and music with the randomized main menu mod and this is unlike them all the way the images stretch so I'm going to track it and hope it will be fixed down the line
Nothing changes here. I did run as admin and nothing. I there no need to confirm after you set up? i mean like finish button. or its normal like that? and than just close program? mybe im installing in a wrong folder after 1st setup?
Getting an error when I try to run initial setup because I don't have the game installed to the default directory of c:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\...\logo.nif. It's instead installed to a different drive, which is where I am running it from. Pressing OK to ignore, just leaves the status at "waiting" for eternity...
Goning to give you some more work to do... So, I got it to work with custom install location as you stated and YAY! It worked. However, when I load in a image and start the game, the image is squished and all that... makes me #sadpanda.
I'm sorry. I guess I wasn't clear. I was suggesting you add images of the fog and background replacers here on the Nexus under images so that people, myself included, can see what is in the mod BEFORE downloading it. From what I can tell, I have to download and install the mod before I see what options there are.
So I had an idea, I made my skyrim log in song the 8bit version, and I was wondering if it was possible to make the image the main menu picture as well as the lettering for the options look 8-bit, like a classic game. I do not know much about how to do it but is it possible and if so can you help me with it/ make it since you are clearly better than I am. Please message me.
The revert button doesn't work for me on the patcher. I tried running everything as admin.
What would be the manual way to undo the patch if the button doesn't work?
Edit:Thanks IndecentAct! For anyone else who may have problems with reverting the launch patch.
Go to your main Skyrim folder and delete TESV.exe and rename TESV_default.exe to TESV.exe and then go your SKSE.ini file located in Data/SKSE/SKSE.ini and remove the runtimename section. That will restore everything back to the way it was before the patch.
should these instructions work for the snow too. I used the revert buton. It fixed the background but not the snow.I don't have a file named TESV_default.exe and that section isn't in my skse.ini.
The lack of the ability to randomize the background image is what kept me away of other menu replacers. If this feature work with SKSE, as soon as you manage to fix the problem of install location I'll be using it.
That's one reason I'm always coming back to the Immersive Armors Main Menu Replacer by Hothtrooper44 ( http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35253/? ) because he made some very fitting shots of his armors in cinematic yet lore-friendly fashion ...AND it has a nice random cycle.
Most, ...no, nearly every other menu replacer out there has in my opinion either non-fitting, low-quality and/or to oversexualiced themes. So this project looks VERY promisiong to fill that gap. Really looking forward to the next update!!

Also don't forget to checkout some of Arisen1's content, she has some beautiful textures and a ton of awesome screenshots.

Any thing you can think of to fix this?

Also, does it work fine with Mod Organizer?
