Hi. I play on super fancy special edition these days, and I have to tell you I'm still using your ebony, because there's absolutely nothing like it. Too bright, too floral, not black enough, the bow is really ugly and brown instead of that nice iridescent blue... I'm set with your ebony for life.

oops, I am sorry, I really am not sure and I should have mentioned it in the description.. this was over 5 years ago and I forget, lol.... hmmmm..... I had an insane amount of mods installed for that playthrough..... Straightforward Blades - Ebony Sword this might be it ?.. it looks similar

Yeah, that was a bit of a strange omission by me .. I guess I never came up with something I liked using the vanilla textures, ended up just editing book of silence for my last playthrough hehe.
I'v been playing around with the set again since I noticed this post though, and think I am starting to get slightly happy with what Iv come up with. It's nothing fancy like book of silence, nice n dark just now tho ...
I will play around trying my working resolution versions with normal compression to see how it looks... usually I find the extra memory is better used on 1k-2k 16.7 mil colors instead of higher res 16 or so colours though , that and I generally don't add huge amounts of detail hehe.
That bein said I think Bethesda maybe lost the original textures for this set when it came time to make the hd texture pack, so some textures will be larger than vanilla
... yeah.. hehe, not sure if I like my edits with or without enb now
in my defense I see vanilla skyrim and enb skyrim as two different beasts, I know there is a huge disconnection between most of my edits and vanilla skyrim but hmm, I think dats because most of them were fueled by the huge disconnection between vanilla textures and enb skyrim
added the female armor as optional... if you can think on a way to make it nicer for vanilla heh, would be cool
I can't play skyrim for long with enb disabled, two worlds II - http://onewaygamer.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/TwoWorlds2-2011-02-07-04-03-46-92.jpg - came out a full year before skyrim but had all of the enb kind of post effects I was starting to get used to hehe, skyrim was a shock I decided to leave for a year or two before I touched again... armed with a proper gpu
hehe, to speed up turn around time between making changes and seeing results I decided to focus on just the one, the next bit is a bit tricky, have to remember what I did and replicate every step
then I have to redo most of the ebony weapons to fit in
Love these edits. Keep up great work. BTW may I ask you to make this white patterns a little bit darker as well? P.S. I hope you will eventually do the spooky edit of the chitin armor from Dragonborn
How I am actually fighting my way through the first level of dawnguard !... 300 hours in with this char (though admittedly alot of that is testing textures hehe) and I'm getting destroyed, damn requiem! haha.. was so caught up in looking cool for screenshots and playing around with these puny ebony weapons I didn't even think to take my daedric / dragonbone armor etc . Also boo hiss at the dawnguard for sending me into this with a steel crossbow hehe, that just seems to make vampires mad more than anything else .
lol, arr... might have to look for some mods that lets me pay people to enchant / upgrade my light armor equipment for me.. that's kind of lore friendly cheatery ? .. I haven't been a huge fan of tanking this character up with heavy gear.. seems very out of place for a thief / archer / single hand stabby playthrough. Light armor enchanted with ice / shock protection could work though.. hmm, might have a trip to an enchanting table first to see what I can come up with.
Edit: seems that even though I am level 63 in enchanting with 5 skillpoints put in, I cannot make anything that can even come close to defending me.. starting to add skill points to the alteration tree instead hehe
Edit 2 : in other words, if you are playing requiem do not waste your points.. sigh and sigh again
