We've hit version 1.1, with the main of addition of Dagon Bolts. Please be sure to note that this requires Dawnguard, and that any optional files that change the damage of arrows are incompatible with version 1.1, the model edits such as the Smaller Arrowhead and Smaller Quiver will still work.
Ver 1.1.3 contains a Model fix, problem with a .NIF file meant the model was not loading in game after doing texture and model edits. Version 1.1.3 fixes this and all should be GG
Hello, As well as being craftable, can you also enchant these , and do they level up with you ? Also Main question Where on the smithing list are the arrows ??, I have daedric smith skill, and I cant see these anywhere from start to daedric listing ?? I used NMM to download the mod, I dont like having to unzip or drag n drop , in case I get it wrong and have to much around again dragging n dropping the file ...
Side note doing help " Dagon Arrows" didnt work either to try n find them o.O
Hi, Now as the size issue is solved reassuringly only one question remains: Is it only craftable? Can it be purchased somewhere/from someone? Maybe you could add it to rare/master loot keyword so that one could come by it after a boss fight... Or a unique daedra merchant maybe?
You know with hundreds of mods installed the crafting menu is so overloaded as it takes ages to find something in it, even crashes may occur on low end machines. That's why I thought it would be better to make it purchasable/lootable.
A must-have-mod anyway. :O) Being an archer character myself, too, I can appreciate that.
To answer your initial question, it is currently only obtainable legitimately via crafting. However, this is quite a tight restriction to acquiring these arrows. And I can definitely sympathize with you on the crafting table getting incredibly crowded.
Yes I have been contemplating a merchant to stock these arrows, as even I have problems with crafting them ha. Not sure how to price them, perhaps around 1000 coins an arrow? Maybe 500, I'm not too sure.
Since these are of the Daedric variety, I'd wager you should price these using the price of Daedric Arrows as a base. Once one reaches a high enough level, Daedric Arrows will start to appear in shops via Skyrim's Leveled Lists. A Bashed Patch.esp (Wrye Bash) helps balance these lists out better. Hope this helps. Peace.
P.S: What are the damage ratings on the bolts & arrows compared to their Daedric counterparts? I use a mod that adds Daedric Bolts (16 damage vs 14 for a Dwarven Bolt & 12 for a Steel Bolt) & a Daedric Crossbow to the game. You may wish to create both a bow & a crossbow for these bolts/arrows too. Just a thought. Thanks.
Hey thanks for the information in your first paragraph. :-)
The raw damage ratings for the Arrow is 50, and the bolt is 55 I believe.
I may model a bow/crossbow, but I am bit out of ideas, well I have one for the Crossbow anyway, the bow would be to bland in colour. Was thinking of using the most well known Daedric symbol a basis.
hey, pretty good mod you've done here, like the horns and oblivion symbol, made it worth trying out (especially since ive got a character with a good/bad weapon set theme going on ^-^) However, i do have one issue and possible suggestion for it, and that is the size of the holder (the quiver i think, nvr been one for archery knowledge) it just seems to big as it dominates the character when its in use. Mods great overall, but if it could be mad esmaller, i doubt i'd ever remove it. just thought i'd throw my thoughts out, whether you do anything with them is your choice mate.
I think the overall size of it needs to be shrunk a bit, not by much, but using your pics as an exmaple, you notice how it dominates the view? as in you only see it on the back, while with others its not as prominant. Just seems like your being MADE to focus on the holder and it alone, which to me seems wrong as you want to enjoy it along with whatever your using (not saying this was your intention, just what i got from using it)
Of course, i dont think it should be shrunk too small, as it is a daedric princes arrows, but just a wee bit so it isn't like a glaring issue. Still great mod though, and once again kudos to you for fast responses.
Dam dude, that is wicked, i dont think it needs tweaking anymore then that. It looks like part of a set rather then just a set now, if that makes sense.
Was thinking of an idea given that you made this to test your modelling skills right? Well, we've got arrows for Mehrunes Dagon now, why not a bow? and possibly similiar objects for others (besides the standard artifacts)
Dont know if thats something to think about, but definetely a cracking job on the quiver, and cannot wait to see what other goodies come from you
I have been heavily pondering the idea of a suitable bow to model as well. Main inspirations for this mod was to improve my modelling skills, and to add my own touch to the game. I had a few ideas in mind, My initial idea was to take the Oblivion rune symbol and mould it into a bow, but I think the colouring would be too bland to like it. (Still an idea).
I have further ideas to develop along the lines of arrows, I intend to recreate the arrows from the Thief series (with the latest incarnation as a basis) as well as Garret's Bow. This mod would contain the same quiver for all the arrows, so that when the player switches between the arrows it feels like he/she has got different types of arrow for different jobs all in one quiver. Still a concept though.
Your kind words and compliments mean a lot to me :-). I'm very glad someone I've never met is enjoying my work, it is a great passion of mine to create something and have someone else enjoy it.
"Similar objects" as in stuff like Hammers, axes and such? Could definitely look into that. As I write this comment I already have an idea for an axe.
Let me know if this is what you mean :-)
May create other Daedric Prince themed arrows or other items.
Never played the Theif series, but if ideas are coming from that then it has to be a good game, and dude form what you've done here you deserve a lot of praise for it, and the fact you enjoy it is a brilliant bonus. Wish i could do stuff like this but wouldnt even know where to begin, good with concept but making the stuff is a foreign art to me.
And yeah, other weapons and what not would be good, since you get Molag Baal's Mace and Dawnbreaker, along with Auriels weapons, but everything else is armor or other stuff that doesnt look all that good. so other weapons would be a nice way to go for it, one that leaps out at me would be Malacath having an axe or waraxe type thing, considering he's related to the orcs i think.
Once again man, great work and i will look forward to stuff you do in future, and if you ever wanna bat idea's for stuff, i dont mind giving my thoughts on it, since i would really like to see just how creative and intricate you get with things. Good Luck and Have Fun with this stuff mate.
Edit: Oh, and just before i forget, gave you first ever endorsement i've given on this, to show that i mean what i say about seeing what you can do.
Thank you for your endorsement, and my first endorsed piece of work.
Thief is great stealth series, I'd recommend if you like stealth game-play. Bows and arrows are always included in stealth games of nature, very silent and deadly. Hence why I love bows and arrows; I love stealth. Will definitely be looking at Thief for more inspiration until it's gone dry, hence I hope my next mod will be better than my first (this).
Can certainly look into making some melee weapon based mods, already have a dagger in mind of my own but I am willing to work on weaponry that people will appreciate. Always looking for people's thoughts and ideas, as I am willing to listen. Would like to say the optional files I have created are proof of that claim as well, I don't actually use any of the optional files myself, except for Higher Damage.
I used to be in your shoes "I could never do that!" but really it's all practice and you will surprise yourself at what you can do, truly. This mod was made using a basic tutorial video for when I got to Nifskope and Creation kit, I had not really used that software before, but the modelling I was on good terms with.
Thanks very much again Takana, will remember you as my first endorser. :-)
No probs man, glad to se your happy with your work, and i'll probably try my hand at modelling and what not eventually, just not got the time and energy atm to devote to it.
Will definetely look into Theif as sounds like a good game from what you said, and glad i could express how good your work was and will continue to hope for great stuff in the future
Cool mod! as an Archer I love quiver and arrow mods but this mod gave me an idea, could you make a version using mehrunes razor as the quiver? that would be very cool!
Pretty arrows, however, I think that you should consider lowering damage to match daedric, because Mehrunes razors stats are on par with a daedric dagger. That's just my personal opinion. Another good idea if possible would be to give the arrows the instant kill effect that the razor has.
Hello guys, notes have been taken I will make a crossbolt variant of these arrows. I imagine you would like the same Quiver style and of course arrow style, with a bolt touch. I will get to work on these.
Let me know how you'd like, would you like an exact duplicate of the arrow (with 1/2 a head size) or would you a bolt look/touch to it?
The bolt should have a small head, but keep it different than all the other bolts out there. It will make it stand out! Mayber use the arrowhead and just shrink it down to bolt size. For the quiver, you would need to shrink it down as well, since the are carried on the waist instead of the back.

Added images to show off the bolts.
Sorry for the f*#@ up guys.
At the moment I have no intention of making other arrow related mods.
Also Main question Where on the smithing list are the arrows ??, I have daedric smith skill, and I cant see these anywhere from start to daedric listing ?? My bad, I forgot to add that you need to complete the quest "Pieces of the Past", which results in receiving Mehrunes' Razor.
Onto your questions,
1. Arrows cannot be enchanted, they are a chance to instantly kill however.
2. No they don't, that have a set (and generous amount) of damage.
3. help "Dagon Arrow" (remove the "s").

Added to the updates to come list anyway.

Will be releasing a bolt variant very soon, keep your eyes on this page.
Still working on quiver being stuck in bodies. I know the fix, just need some time.
Edit: Fixed the quiver in bodies issue.
Looking into giving it the instant kill effect.
