is not necessary to remove the ability of the armor. if not adding several non-playable perks, reduce weapon damage, falls etc. reviews the dlc of dragonborn and then go look at dlc black book with corresponding perk. I regret to have such a bad language like Spanish

Don't worry, I didn't remove the ability of the armor, I just edited the percentage of total protection possible so that the armor rating individually is worth less, but can be raised to a higher amount.
I'm pretty sure the damage reduction cap is hardcoded directly in the game engine. That means this mod would do nothing as the game engine doesn't base itself on the setting, but the hardcoded value. That would also explain why nobody did this kind of mod in the last 3 years...
