Trust me ive tried numerous programs that claim to do it but in reality they do not work at all. it says its a XWM file but it wont have any sound. doing it with xwmaencode is the only way to do it correctly and this program makes you do less work.
I am going to make it updated to convert wav to xwm sometime this week. and No its not possible to convert mp3 or mp4 to xwm the way the XWMAEncode program works is it only can convert Wav to XWM and XWM to wav. So nope not possible to convert MP3 or MP4.
I uploaded this to prove that its possible to do without the command prompt.
the CMD window pops up for everytime you hit convert XWM but is not in the users view. Once your done converting your XWM files just go to your taskbar and look for the cmd window icon and right click and choose close all.
