Would it be possible to have a special edition version of this? Or can I just install it straight away?

    Hey dude,

I was wondering if you had considered uploading your mod to Bethesda.net for Xbox and PS4? If not could somebody re-upload it on your behalf with full credit of course?

I used you mods lots of times in my PC playthroughs and its such a simple idea but also genius!! Of course the vampires would have blood on tap!! Reminds me of an episode of Buffy when the master opens a blood factory lol

Would be pretty sweet if it were possible to get this on consoles and I'm sure folks would thank you for it! (and lord knows the PS4 could use some decent mods at the moment after the fiasco with Sony screwing their user base!)

    Cheers for reading!

Can you combine them all into one replacer file? I ask this mostly because I have so many mods as it is.

Did you only add your script to the barrels already present in the game, or did you add it to the base object so that blood barrels from other mods would also dispense blood?

Only added it to the barrels already present in the game sorry. If you have a mod though that adds blood barrels I might be able to make a patch for it?

I was considering adding a few to my Hearthfire Coffin Cubby mod in a new version. It did always annoy me how rare those darn potions are. If I actually get around to making it I'll beg a patch from you then Thank you for the offer!

Instead of making a patch that would have to be updated any time I realized I left a bug I've just made my newest variation of Hearthfire Coffin Cubby require your mod. And possibly also because once I made the damn thing once I was too lazy to make a second version without your awesome barrels

I use a modified version of blood potions..aka i can craft my own potions at any crafting pot with human hearths.
Since most of my chars are not evil vampires i will give this mod a try .
One suggestion...it might be nice to have a way to refill the barrels...maybe add a "death item" jug of blood that can be use to refill the barrels.
Let's say that every barrel can provide 10 blood potions ( aka GetItemCount) then it needs to be refilled with a jug of blood.
The LL for the jug of blood can have a 5-10% chance to drop or maybe less so it would be a bit rare but not insane rare.
The script would need a "messagebox" aka when you activate the barrel you get a message with 2 options...get blood or refill the barrel.
As for the jug of blood, duplicate on a jug already ingame, load in gimp the dds change color to red
As far as scripting goes my suggestion is a 5 min job at the most but feel free to ignore it if it doesn't match with your vision for the mod.

Hey, some good ideas there, but unfortunately none of it's necessary - the barrels already can be used to get blood potions an unlimited amount of times, they don't ever run out so don't need to be refilled lol. Don't worry though it was a nice thought

Was kind of tired when i wrote that comment. Now that i think of it...yeah it does make sense lore wise that they would always have blood in the castle. In general i don't like infinite or unlimited things in my game because i tend to role play my chars. I'm still going to modify the script(for my personal use) for the player houses because for me it doesn't make sense for them to be unlimited. I kind of picked up the bad habit of changing the mods i use from Morrowind and Oblivion. I like my chars to feel like people not like every bold marine in every fps ever.
      Endorsed.

Okay yeah that's fine I like to role play my chars too - I thought in the castle maybe they could have a blood system, like we have water systems in our houses, so there'd always be blood supplied to the barrels. Just something I can imagine to enhance the immersion But yeah I totally get what you mean, feel free to modify the script to your personal taste I sometimes slightly change mods I've download too, just for personal use of course. And cheers for the endorsement, I appreciate it!

Omg this is perfect I've always been one to hoard blood potions just in case, since they're what I'd consider rare, but this is a great option for those who still use Harkon's Castle.

I do have one question though--without looking at the CK, I dont know offhand if there's multiple types of barrel. Is there, and if so, which type are you using? I was thinking of adding some of these to a vampire-themed house I've been working on (purely for my own use :3.)

Hi, thanks for your nice comments. Glad you like my mod
Well, there are two types of bloody barrels, the only difference being different blood spray patterns, and I use both, random which one is where, just to keep some variety and enhance the realism Also if you're interested you may want to check out another of my mods called 'Breezehome for Vampires'. It also adds some blood barrels that can be used to collect blood potions from to Breezehome, so you don't always have to travel back to the castle, and it has a vampire theme to it too

I've been using another mod like this from the Steam workshop, but that one always annoyed me because it didn't affect the blood barrels in the sewer system under the castle. Does yours? I might switch to it.

Also, how many blood potions does each barrel contain?

Edit: Reading the comments below, I see your mod uses scripts, is that right?

Sorry no mine doesn't, but thanks for pointing that out actually, I will make sure to include those blood barrels as well in the next update Want my mod to be perfect haha
Each barrel gives one blood potion when you activate it, but there is no limit to how many times you can use the barrel to get a potion.
Yes this mod does use one script that is correct

EDIT: I'm also thinking of adding the big blood vats in a future update, and they would dispense 5 potions at a time. Does that sound like something you'd like also?

Definitely. And I see the point of the script now -- I like your approach c: Much better than clearing out a container and waiting for the potions to respawn haha. Nice work.
