could we get a list somewhere of helmets and such that are affected? also, any idea why it might not work? i got a ton of mods but none that i know of alter headgear at all, and yet vokun and an enchanted iron helmet don't work. (also i used LOOT for my load order so even if something did conflict it should have warned me)

Can you make it work on the Dragon Priest Masks?

It should. If it's not working, it's something wrong on your end.

I haven't tried it for myself, but it sounds a tad OP to me. A complete negation of the penalties from sunlight sounds like it would remove some of the challenge of being a vampire (unless the Health/Magicka/Stamina recovery rates are untouched). What I would recommend is a mod that *reduces* the penalties suffered from being in the sun (say, cut the health and other such penalties in half, as well as the regeneration rates being a half of the normal rate).

Also, would this be compatible with the Weather and Brightness mod for vampires?

Unless the mod directly modifies the sunlight effect, it should be compatible. However, having never actually used the mod (until seeing this, I had no idea it even existed), I can't say for sure.

    Love the mod.

If I may suggest a fix for the dilemma of expanding the selection of hoods to other mods.

First, if this is a simple addition of keywords to the hood of a mod, I believe that it is possible to create a single-use script, much like SOS uses on all NPCs, to set all hoods in the game to have this keyword. If that is not possible, then the alternative is to have the script search and compile a list of hoods and helmets within the game. This list is displayed in an MCM menu where the player can either allow or deny the functionality for select hoods and helmets.

You can also make the script to find hoods and helmets user-fired from the MCM menu, eliminating the need for lengthy scripts to run while the game is loading/ has just loaded.

Just my two cents, mostly because I want to see the Garrett armor hood have this functionality.

Well, I have absolutely no idea how to do any of that. I have no experience coding anything for Skyrim and I am entirely unfamiliar with everything about it, much less something as extensive as what you've described. If you know how to, feel free. I would love to see this mod become so expansive, even if I'm not the one who takes it there.

I'm in the same boat. I can do the design and all, but the Papyrus scripting is what stymies me.

I'm looking into different resources, including the main Papyrus tutorial, in an effort to teach myself the Papyrus scripting language.
If I'm successful, then I'll definitely pass on what I learn.

I'd appreciate it. I haven't really looked into learning Papyrus scripting too deeply, largely because I don't really see what good it would serve past modding Skyrim. I have ideas for what the MCM menu would do, but I have no idea how to make that happen. I think it would be fairly basic, though...

I guess I'll just have to look into Papyrus, too.

Nice mod, is it compatible with better vampires or hoods added by mods (specifically those in Winter is coming)?

I see no reason why it wouldn't be compatible with Better Vampires, but if you find that it isn't, let me know.

As for other mods, I'm working on compatibility patches, but I can't quite figure out how to get them working.

So, no. I could release a temporary fix for that, but it would make ALL headware (including circlets) remove the effect. I may just release that as an optional file until I can figure this out, though.

Nice work. Would this work with NPCs? I've no idea if they suffer from any effects of sunlight even with Better Vampires.. but still.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't the slightest idea if they suffer from the effects, but the mod wouldn't change them, as it runs the condition only on the player. I could change it to run on "subject," which would be anything suffering from the effects. If enough people want me to do that, I will, but until then, I'll leave it as-is.

I have never used Requiem, so I do not even know how I would go about making a compatibility patch for it.

Although, my inexperience with it also means I have no idea why it wouldn't work with it. My turn to ask a stupid question: Have you found that it does not work with Requiem?
