finally found the image, and what a joy it is to see that I did it all for nothing. bit of advice actually read what people write so you don't make them waste their time search for an answer when THERE ISN'T ONE!
i merged your sound fix with the other underwater sound i found here on nexus in audacity, the effect is much nicer now and has a nice bass boost to it
BUT
your sound is a bit flawed, has 2 clicking noise when the volume is turned up very loud, you can hear them...i deleted the clicks, its very easy in audacity, then just extend back the sound to its proper length by copy pasting a small sound sequence from before or after the clicking sound....then if you want to combine it with another underwater sound, edit the amplitude in the effects menu to be of lower volume, then copy paste the other sound effect under it. You must make their volumes equal, or choose which one you like better and make it louder for the better effect. then export. its important that their frequencies to match, so you may need to edit that too
I didn't notice any difference in the video demo, so I downloaded this to see if there actually was a difference. After opening and comparing the two, it looks like what you did was chop off the end and beginning of the original, without actually editing the sound. So I'd have to ask, how is this an improvement? It's the exact same, except it doesn't have the sinking-coming up for air parts.
I do hear the difference and it is a subtle improvement. The annoying loud splashing sound is gone when you are underwater so that does constitute as an improvement in my book.
