Darn, after installing the fix - which works great, without it, BSR is pretty much just a pain in the ass, so thank you a lot -, I seem to have lost the vampire sprint speed bonus (obviously another scripted thing since it only increases movement speed after it finds the character to be actually sprinting, sometimes it takes half a second or so to register/deregister).
Anyways... I haven't increased my vampire status yet (currently Risen, working on Master) to see if that fixes it and gives me back that rather nice and useful boost, but I figured I might as well mention the issue. I'll add any further info I stumble over, especially whether status changes or deinstall/reinstall should fix it.

    [edit]
    Nope, neither worked.
Another issue is the handling of the 'protected' flag. Usually, 'protected' means that the NPC can be killed by the player, just not anything else (except for scripted events). So 'protected' NPCs shouldn't lose the flag, the Belua script itself should be changed to ignore it, and just check for 'essential' flags.
(I stumbled over it since I used the NPC Knockout Overhaul mod that has an option to set each and every unique NPC 'protected' when they're generated, so important, but not 'essential' people don't get killed sooner or later by the random dragon and vampire attacks, such as Adrianne for example)

Is this for the 1.4x beta or the 1.39x stable releases?

this patch added new problems, now you cant kill any npc by feeding, wich means you cant rank up to the highest rank as a vampire. im starting to get to the point where i am discovering more and more proof that console fans are right, despite me being a huge pc gamer fan for 15 years now and im 30 years old by the way, whats sad about this is mods today just do more damage than good. plus pc games are impossible to develop and run as good as consoles, after playing assasins creed black flag, and watchdogs on ps4 and seing how good they look and seeing that they run at a solid 30fps, where no pc game on my 6 thousand dallar current computer or any older high end build ive ever done has ever ran at a solid 30fps, sadly due to my lack of moding knowlege and the lack of bethesda even responding to thire fans anymore on the subject of the elder scrolls 6, im about give up on skyrim and any future bethesda games or any pc game at all, since mods are now being abandoned more than ever in a buggy state. exuse my rant, but this is verry frustrating for me to see pc gaming the way it is and not the way it should have been becouse of moders making promises they knew from day one they could never deliver. i just want to see skyrim brought back to life by moders that dont get bored of moding. not moders that decide to abandon mods with such issues still present without giving the mod they no longer care about to someone else that will atleast be dedicated enouph to take 2 hours a week to work on it long enouph to finish it. excuse my poor grammer please im not a grammer nerd im a computer nerd.

The issue is not caused by this fix. All it does is remove the check for npc status as protected/essential that automatically gives them the drain sickness and prevent feeding on them. I didn't change anything else regarding feeding and the damage it deals to npcs.

The fact that higher level vampires will kill npcs on feed if they let their hunger grows too much is documented on the readme of the orginal mod. Only difference with the fix is that now, it can also happen to npcs that are essential or protected.

I made that fix because 1) it quickly get annoying when you try to feed on a npc and get the drain sickness quicking in and 2) it makes dragonborn practically unplayable as all npcs there got the sickness for some reason. If the fix is not satisfactory to you, well feel free to play without it.

That must have been the most pointless, patetic whine I've ever read. I'd probably stop making mods too if i had to listen to crap like that every day. I really, really hope this guy is...12 years old, or something. There is no other excuse for something like that.

Belua sanguinare is by far my favorite mod, & I can't wait to use this fix you made, I think that it's awesome that you took the time to do so, & I really hope that you make more, or possibly take it over.

    Hello Chantelune!
Nice to see that someone is still making a fix for that awesome mode. Maybe you should take the mod and continue expand it since the author give up on it ...

Thanks. As for taking over this mod... Don't really know. There's a few things I'd like to add (like blood potions restoring satiation, for when you're exploring places with no "cans" around), but the mod is really script heavy and it's at time difficult to find out what is doing what in there. Might consider it if and when I have a better insight of all the code in this mod. As for fixing bugs, can give it a shot, but didn't have many myself, save from that one.

In any case, feel free to report any bugs you have there, I'll try to look into it. Just keep in mind I'm not an expert when it comes to coding. And Papyrus feels awfully non-friendly to me, compared to other langages.
