I am sick of this "Vortex" bullshit!!! I MEAN I HAVE FINALLY COME TO THE POINT WHERE I AM THOROUGHLY PISSED!!!! I want my original Nexus Mod Manager back. It worked. But, now I am spending virtually all of my time trying to figure this s#*! out instead of getting to play. I didn't come back here to learn how to be a damned computer gaming technician. I never agreed to work for Nexus Mods, I never agreed to work for anybody. I'm nearly 63 years. I'm retired. I wanna play. I'm tired of working my donkey off for a bunch of ingrates. ain't here to try to figure out how to fix this damn broke product of y'all's that's y'all's responsibility. Not mine. By god I'm the customer here. You guys are the ones with the product for sale, that don't work. It ain't worth a plug nickel the way it is. So I'm gonna get rid of all this junk of y'all's that's in my computer, and I'm gonna give Steam my business. Доброй ночи и хорошего избавления.

    Super Edited Post.
The issue was with a mod being disabled that didnt have a plugin listed. I missed it going through things after reverting to a previous backup to fix an ESM duplication issue.
    *facepalm*

I can't get it to install, it just gives me a zip file with two things within the folder, neither of which does anything but for a second at the most open a black window. I had to open it literally ten times if not more to fully read it which basically said something about a incorrect file location I believe.

It sounds like you need to edit the variable in the install.bat file to point to the location of where Skyrim is install if it's not installed on your C drive.

I've also noticed that in Windows 10 that typing SPF into the search doesn't work for me so I have to open up CMD for it to run. If not just running SPF on it's own from the command prompt without doing install should work too. the install just makes it more convenient. if you want to see what the window actually says just remove the word exit from the bottom line of the file.

W00p! Randomly came across this now. This problem has been freaking me out on both of my two computers. Will try! One could probably make this execute when launching Skyrim. Thanks!

Thanks, hope it works well for you. I'm sure I could get it to run more automatically if I had more time to work on it. I made this script pretty quickly last summer lol.

I've deleted the entry, "skyrim.esm" from "Loadorder.txt" which seems to have solved this problem.

I did that on my old installation of windows and it didn't work. I recently reinstalled windows along with Skyrim and Loadorder.txt isn't even there.

Never had this problem. Do you use the latest version of NMM ?

Did you report your issue on NMM's tracker ? They always replied to the few reports I made.

I've seen a bunch of other people report it in the past when searching. A lot of them seem to be dismissed.

I do have the latest version and it's been an issue for me from like 0.40 or something around that version. I have a friend that just got the game and started using NMM and he got the same issue the first time he applied a mod

I also have never seen this problem. Actually this is the first I've ever heard about it.
