Hey all, I just got back from vacation and before classes start up I wanted to make sure I brought the mod pages up to speed. Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions on the mod. An Extra Special thanks to ralfetas as always for working so hard on the bodyslide files not just for this mod but for Shredded Triss as well. Also Plaguehush and a few others have been helping with the integration of this mod to be compatible with cloaks of skyrim and frostfall so hopefully I will have those options available in the next few days as well.
I unstuck my last post because hopefully you wont have the issue with the textures after using Bodyslide from now on. If you still do or need the image for reference though the post is still here further down and the image is still in the images section.
Hope you all had a great summer!
edit: Changed the midguard Update file to be compatible with FrostFall and Cloaks of skyrim, just download, choose your bodytype and drop in your Data Folder. Sadly this option is not available for Bodyslide, but you can make the change easily enough by using the plugin provided in this update and editing the meshes you created in Bodyslide for the midGuard pieces to have a Dismemberment of 52 instead of the original 46 by using nifskope.
Never done a mod for console but provided the triss armor is already out there for Xbox and someone is up to the task I have no problem with someone doing it.
Couple things: for 3BA you would need breast bones. If you want the hard metal chest piece to move that way you can copy those bone weights over but it won't look right even on a CBBE body. The most appropriate use would probably be a single breast bone for each side with each bone weighted across both breasts so the chest piece has a slight single bounce. But you wouldn't need all 3 breast bones from 3BA for that. (I think this copy of Tsun may have had a good example of what I'm suggesting https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42239)
As far as Skinned Mesh Physics are concerned, there really isn't any cloth or hair in this armor that would require collision of that type so applying anything like that would just be unnecessary.
I hope that answers your question. If there is a specific effect you are trying to achieve you can message me and describe it, maybe I can help you towards achieving it or at least point you in the right direction. If you just want to have your body textures line up because you are using 3BA for everything else then I suggest using a CBBE version of this armor.
simplest way is to use nifskope and copy the mesh from the mid guard nif files and paste them into the one for the full armor. Then make sure to change the dismemberment partition to 32 (body) to match the other parts of the full armor meshes (otherwise it will be invisible in game). Its actually easier than it sounds. Just make sure you do it for both _0 and _1 files. If you are savy with Outfit Studio you can open the armor slider set, import the midguard from its shapedata nif and conform it to that project's reference file, also go into the partition tab on Outfit Studio and change the partition to 32 for the midguardand, save. Then Bodyslide will generate both _0 and _1 files.
The good news is that you shouldn't have to mess with weights or clipping.
I got it to work! I read back a few posts and basically its because it's not 100% compatible with Skyrim Special Edition.
So what you do is, install whatever it is you want, then use https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4089 as administrator, run it the optimiser on the meshes in your SSE install folder and BAM it works now c:
Can confirm that kitkathy1994 is correct. I just ran it through the nif optimizer and it worked just fine. Noobs:

I've never used nif optimizer before this. It's pretty easy. Just download the tool from the link kitkat provided. Once it's installed on your PC, open the tool, "Browse" to this mod's meshes folder, and click "optimize." That's it. Repackage the mod into a .zip, upload it to your mod manager of choice, and you're good to go. Send me a DM if you'd like more help.
I'd love it if someone would be willing to get permission from the mod author and re-release this for SSE, but in the mean time, see primewar's post just below this one for a personalized solution.
@esmm40 Hi there, I'm a big fan of your Female Blades Light Armor over on the Bethesda website, I wanted to ask your permission to make a recolored black version, if that was alright with you? You would be given full permission of course. If not that's totally fine, I'm still a big fan regardless :)
