Combat Evolved for Skyrim SE has a separate standalone mod on the download page for exactly this: Guards Attack Hostiles - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1525/?tab=files. It is the optional file.
I have SSE and guards already attack thugs, etc. I don't think my mods make this happen, I think it was from an update. I did have this mod installed without porting and had no CTD or issues.
Guards should also attack hostile predators imo, the guards purpose is to keep the citizens safe, and predators can be a serious threat, especially to unarmed citizens.
Awesome, ty for this. Just what I needed after having hired thugs show up for my new character after I stole some potatos and the like, to murder me and several other npcs in falkreath who I had become friends with, while the guards stood there and watched.
This mod ignores brawls and challenges. You must have something else installed that is causing guards to attack. These guards will attack anyone that is attacking both you and nearby citizens, though.
