My Dovahkiin didn’t really care for Vilkas at first, as he treated her more like an inferior whelp than the skilled warrior who taught him a thing or two about fighting in the Jorrvaskr courtyard. However, the moment she put on an Amulet of Mara and Vilkas noticed it, everything changed. Gone was the arrogant, self-righteous know-it-all, replaced by a fiery, charming romantic. Where had this man been hiding? My Dovahkiin’s heart melted, and I finally understood why Vilkas was such a popular marriage choice.
However, there were a few things about his appearance that I didn’t feel suited his personality. To me, Vilkas seemed to be the type who would be very meticulous about his appearance, but he’s dirty, his complexion looks like he scrubbed his face with a cheese grater, he has an eternal five o’clock shadow, and the “raccoon eyes” warpaint is sloppy and unattractive.
I tried my best to keep him the same fiery Companion who keeps our Dovahkiins on their toes, just cleaner, well-groomed, and a bit more handsome. I removed the dirt and warpaint, smoothed out his complexion, made a few facial tweaks and proportion adjustments, darkened his hair a bit, and gave him a nicely groomed beard and a different hairstyle.
I also changed his mood from “disgusted” to “neutral,” as I didn’t fancy him snarling at my Dovahkiin constantly. Besides, once you finish the Companions' questline and become his friend and/or spouse, “disgusted” doesn’t really suit him anymore.
I hope you enjoy Vilkas, and if you do, endorsements are very much appreciated.

Extract the file to a temporary location.
Copy/place the .esp in your Skryim Data folder.
Merge my "meshes" folder with the "meshes" folder in your Skryim Data folder.
Merge my "textures" folder with the "textures" folder in your Skyrim Data folder.
Make sure the .esp is checked in the “Data Files” section of the Skryim Launcher.
As for where it should go in your load order, it doesn’t really matter, although I would recommend putting it ABOVE any multi-follower mod (AFT, EFF, UFO) just in case.
Uncheck the .esp in the Skyrim Launcher.
Delete the .esp from your Skyrim Data folder.
Delete my meshes and textures.
As this changes Vilkas, it will most likely be incompatible with any other mod that changes him.
None that I know of.
