Perfect little place. Enough storage for a basic collection of gear, weapons and everything else (including the kitchen, which is good if you play with a needs mod), cozy ambiance, and I actually like the open plan of it, instead of it being divided into multiple tiny rooms. The zones are defined well enough without making the place cramped and confined.
The ONLY thing I would have liked is some farmspace outside, like gardening plots or cattle (for those with cattle milking mods). Or maybe some more storage, for firewood, so that it's right there and ready to take with, but I can place a barrel with another mod and take care of that on my own.
I do wonder if the little dock directly east of Bujolds Retreat is an addition by this mod, some other mod, or a vanilla feature. It has a rope suspended in the air. If it is this mod, you can easily remove the offending parts using 'disable', just make sure to save first.
Thanks for all the support and feedback everyone! After a long break from modding, I've returned and made some improvements that I hope makes this humble shack just a bit better.
Externally, it is for me the best looking Skaal home. Small, well placed, fully wooden. Good job. Inteior however, for me feels a little off. It is not the fact that it is rather scarce, no. Just by getting rid of any dividing walls, making interior one big room and then placing all the furniture almost in the row along the walls you created a big hole in the center, making it feel cold and almost something like hangar or warehouse. I know the fireplace is in the middle, but maybe by getting rid of the enchanter and/or alchemy station (it was supposed to be a rather rudimentary house after all) you would be able to add bigger table next to the firepit? Or maybe just some dividing walls between main area and the bedroom? Just a healthly dose of constructive criticism and few suggestions. However it is still a great mod.
