It would be nice if this retexture was modified to work with the SMIM meshes, since almost everyone uses SMIM. That said doing so might be a little tricky since SMIM splits the one texture for the Smelter into 6 separate sub-textures. Also, it possibly should be uploaded to Skyrim SE as is since people will not know it exists if it isn't on the Newrim section. You might want to mention in your description that it won't show up unless people remove/hide the Smim smelter mesh.
I just installed your Skysights Skins. Really good work!
Best textures for smelter! Really! I have tried so many retextures and this one is the best. If only someone could add 3D coal from high poly project to vanilla smelter model...
I noticed these textures weren't showing up in-game even though nothing was overwriting them. As far as I can tell the issue was that SMIM's smelter mesh points to its own set of textures with a different file path. Disabling the SMIM mesh (furniture\smeltermarker.nif) seems to give you these textures, which are superior to SMIM's (IMO), but you're stuck with the blockier vanilla mesh. I'm OK with that tradeoff, personally. Just putting that here in case any other SMIM users (which I'd guess means pretty much everyone) are having the same issue.
Thanks for this. I prefer the vanilla style and most of the texture packs with a smelter change the brick in some way that I'm not keen on; this is perfect.
