Regarding Skyrim Special Edition: This mod requires SKSE and SkyUI's MCM. As a result, the SSE equivalents need to be released prior to considering porting this to SSE.
Should I choose to port this, I may do so without the option to select different body slots for the quiver. It is way too much work managing multiple files and records just for a choice that may not be used that much. Think I'd rather share instructions on changing the slots for yourself.
Just a quick note: if you create a bashed patch with Wrye Bash 3.07 beta 1 or greater, you should add the Graphics tag to the patch plugins. The graphics tag was necessary on the main mod due to the Unofficial Patch using it and overwriting my changes. Unfortunately, what I did not notice at the time was that using the graphic tag also prevented the patch files from having their graphics used when necessary.
This should only affect users of the Explosive Bolts Visualized patch who also use a bashed patch.
This mod is great, and fixes the problem it set out to solve. but there are some minor technical issues that I personally experienced. If my character died and the game auto reloaded a save, the quiver placement would be very wrong (at the feet or far in the air) until re - equipping the bolts. not game breaking by any means if you are not dying constantly but I thought I would point this out to anyone thinking of using this mod.
also remember, this only fixes the vanilla crossbows, or faction crossbows as well if you use the patch. things like the silver hand crossbows from unplayable faction armor will still be floaty.
still endorsed. :) thanks IsharaMeradin you made crossbows playable.
Unsure. The file you downloaded has a FOMOD installer which includes a patch for Faction Crossbows that should only be offered if you have Faction Crossbows installed. If you do not, then you should be able to continue installation without selecting said patch option.
That said, I do not have the game installed. I do not have Vortex installed. Thus I am unable to check and see if Vortex handles this particular FOMOD in an unexpected manner.
It looked so promising but sadly i cant get it to work properly.. I have the patch installed for the faction crossbows. But my quivers is always in the middle of my back (spine) hidden in the body, poking out when running or aiming. i can change whatever i want in the mcm nothing changes. i unequip and re-equip, reinstall, restart, reload... Any help? (i dont use a custom skeleton)
The actual quiver is supposed to be hidden inside the body. An armor variant using the body slot of your choice is supposed to be equipped either on the back or on the side of the hip.
One of two possibilities can affect this: 1. Skeleton used does not have the nodes that the armor piece is positioned with. 2. Some other armor piece is using the same body slot as currently selected.
For #1 make sure you do not have any loose skeleton files overriding the one provided in this mod's BSA. Only XPMSE skeleton can override the one provided by this mod. For #2 try changing the body slot, try removing other armor pieces and see if the armor piece appears.
That shouldn't happen. The original bolt & quiver is designed to hide inside the body while the new quiver is an armor piece that sits at a specific location in relation to a specific bone node in the skeleton.
Only thing that I can think of would be using an incompatible skeleton. Make sure you are using the skeleton provided with this mod or overriding it with the one provided by XPMSE. Any other skeleton will probably not work.
Hi first i want to thank you for this awesome mod it really makes game looking better well done mod
so i istalled mod everything works As it should but i notice when i have quiver on me every time i walk through corpses I'm moving it like in darksouls you walk through corpses and you moving it when i unequp quiver its back to normal no moving corpses if its part of mod forgive my stupidity its no really a problem for my i just wanna point out this bug or glitch i don t know
sorry for my english again very nice mod Have nice day
I had an issue with the back placement quiver.. It is on my character's feet lol. But i configured it to the left hip and it looks just beautiful. Thank you very much for this, i've been looking for a fix for that stupid floating quiver for years... You saved me
Could be a skeleton issue. The back quiver is positioned to fit on the back at a specific node added to the skeleton. If you have a skeleton which does not include that node then it will not work as intended. XPMSE 3.0+ and the skeleton included in this mod are the only ones that work with this mod. Older XPMS skeletons may work with the left hip position but not the back position. Please make sure you are using up-to-date files.
Also, if you can confirm on a clean game with ONLY this mod (and required SKSE & SkyUI mods) that the problem does or does not persist that would be of help.

- Fixed FOMOD for NMM. Now works with both MO and NMM
- Added Graphics tag for the Bashed Patch.
