You know, you could have at least TOLD us that the Arcane Blacksmith perk was required to craft the staves. A bit of heads up would have been nice so that people don't get irritated by the lack of staff recipes at the forge after installing this mod.
Hello, I became interested in your mod a few days ago for use in my newest play through. (yes I realize this post is a bit old) however I thought that future downloaders would be interested to know that PhantomofSkyrim is correct.
Warning!!! Spoilers!!!!:
Via some TES5EDIT digging, I found out that there are two requirements for making the staff recipes available. You must either: (1) Complete the College of winterhold questline and become arch mage OR (2) Acquire the Arcane Blacksmithing perk. And on a side note: I can also confirm that this works with Ordinator's perk, as it does not modify the perk ID.
The light version sounds exactly like what I want for my game. I found a couple of craft unenchanted staves and a couple of heart stone seller mods but they always added something else or were part of a much bigger mod.
Your mod seems small, neat, manageable and most importantly fits into the game world.
having to use workbenches is a little confusing and using parts of Hearthfire limit this mod to only people who have that DLC, and I'm sure there's someone out there who doesn't have the DLC that would benefit from this
The optional version does not rely on Hearthfire whatsoever. Everything other than the Staves can be made in the forge still, I wouldn't make life difficult, just a bit more rewarding when you do it at a woodworking station. If it is in everyone's best interests (and i suspect it probably is) I can make forge recipes for the staves in the Carpentry version too, just wasn't my personal aim.
Hello all and thank you for taking the time to look at this mod.
If you have any requests for items/mods you would like moving to the workbench i will be more than happy to do so when i have the time, please leave your messages below.
If anyone is interested in throwing some carpentry tables around Skyrim, it would be a perfect sister to this mod and I would happily link to it. I personally fear I will break something if I go into the cells so I am trying to avoid it. To be honest, If you want to take my mod and add the tables into it, you have my permission to upload it, with credit and a link of course.
