Added v1b, fixed a couple of little bugs (crafting the crossbow gave the player a regular steel crossbow instead of the new one...) and made the crossbow craftable at a regular forge from the get-go. Please update, thank you~
Hey I am just wondering, can I upload a small addon I made for this mod that tones down the damage of the crossbow? (Meant to be used along with some other crossbow nerfs I made.)
The nerf will be its own ESP, not an ESP replacer.
If you want, you could just send me an edited version of this esp and I can upload it here as an optional version. No need to clutter people's mod lists with so many plugins But if you don't want to do that, go ahead and upload your own
Well the thing is, the nerf is fairly big, one of the crossbow mods I use is crossbows basic collection, and those crossbows were... a wee bit imbalanced, so when I balanced them myself it made this crossbow stronger then them, so I had to nerf this one too. I also made a patch for faction crossbows, which I am also waiting on permission to upload for.
I am waiting until I get permission from the creators of crossbows basic collection and faction crossbows before I upload any of my crossbow patches.
I'll be using these patches personally for now, until I can get permission to upload the other patches.
i am currently editing my own mod whitch will make the world unleveld and medieval-like
all human races will only wear normal clothes, and light armor (leather, hide , ringmail) and only weapons till steel level. Except steelplate armour and skyforge steel weapons.
i will give bandits your crossbows, and only low % chance on iron and even lower % chance for Steel crossbows .... crossbows are more comon than bows (practise wise)
using 1vb and crafted it to receive the steel crossbow. I am running the mods crossbow basic collection and crossbows revamped. Checking to see if that might be the problem now.
Looks awesome. I always thought it was a bit silly that you had to start Dawnguard to get a crossbow, and I always felt that there should be more crossbows. To see a lower tier crossbow that can be created without having to start the Dawnguard questline is really cool. It allows people to have access to a crossbow early on, while still allowing them to join the Dawnguard if they want a better quality crossbow - this fits in with the Elder Scrolls world nicely I feel. Awesome work
Or download that one mod where crossbows are available to everyone, find a way to replace the iron crossbow with this one and let the choice of joining the Dawnguard be based on preferences.
Also, the armor-ignoring perk is pretty much pointless, as most of the enemies lack armor, and the elemental bolts are more liable to friendly fire.
Very nice! You might want to give this author a message and see if they will add this in. The mod aims to add crossbows throughout skyrim in an immersive manner. I think an iron crossbow exists already, but this can easily be added in. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43517/?
I dunno, I mean, if there's an iron crossbow already, I don't think they'd like to take another one. Besides, as I said, the textures are not mine, so blaholtzen would need to agree.
As far as I'm concerned they are free to use my texture anyway they wish ^^
I'd personally recommend them to use my texture for the iron one as their seems to be very very similar to the steel one and very dissimilar form the iron weapons
I used what was available at the time. I haven't been keeping up to date with many mod related things lately, but I'd be very happy to replace the current Iron variant for your wooden one, if you're both in agreement.

I duplicated the meshes and set new texture directories in the duplicates do I could delete your texture sets in the esp.
seems to work much better.
I already made a whole mod where this gets distributed into leveled lists.Love it!
