Yes, the shadow issue is a bit of a pain, but I'm talking about the texture in general. It doesn't look bad (you can easily see you put some effort into it), but I feel it's just... bland. How about making the handle and the parts on the sides differently colored? Maybe make the blade have it's normal crimson color, but also an outline? It doesn't need to be too much of a difference, just another shade of it or something. I'm no expert mod maker, but I feel this one could use improvement. Still, the mod's probably going to stay in my Skyrim. It'd be awesome if the sword had a quest related to it!
Good ideas on the texture modification. I'll try to make an outline look alright. As for a quest related to it, I've been working on that. I have some big ideas, but lack the talent or time to implement them, so it'll probably just use the "unique dungeon with books explaining the story" design that a lot of modders seem to prefer.
