Thank you Gary. Snowline is a comfortable house indeed.

It took a few days to arrive there as I had walked from Riften (at my age walking is fast enough). I was surprised to find Nila already there and swilling mead from the barrel, I have never recruited Nila and she usually is a fine lass (almost forgot the "L") hanging about in Sloltude. She did did stay long and was gone when I reloaded the save I had made there. All-in-all very pleasing to see Nila.....unusual, yes..... but pleasing.

I have enjoyed Hindalok and I know that I will enjoy Snowline. I might leave Ceridwen there for a rest.... help Sonjia a bit.

    Cheers

Good to hear from you, Codifer .. and thanks. But I must say I'm probably having one of my old-timer 'mind burps' since I have no idea who Nila even is. Others have reported strange doin's in this house from time to time, but I suspect that has more to do with mod conflicts more than anything. Take care, my friend, and have fun.

She is from a follower mod "Nila the Barbarian Tease" (or some such) who usually helps populate the pub in Solitude. I never have had her as a follower. I think that I have far too many such followers installed, it is getting harder to find a small, safe cell to save in and load from. I used to use The Drunken Huntsman but I somehow turned that into a brothel. Getting crowded.

Mods are strange in little ways. My utter lack of knowledge prevents me from understanding them. I like the old saying, "I am not surprised that the bear dances so well.... but that the bear dances at all."

      Cheers and thanks again

      Edit to add:

Just for information... not a problem. I returned to Snowline this AM and found everything normal. Took a quick nap and woke to find that Nila had come back as well as no less than five Sisters of Dibella (OK, i have some strange mods and one of them is "The Dibellan Sisterhood". They stayed only long enough to have a drink (and one of them to do another strange, and un-named thing, then left. Again, it was NOT a problem. In fact, had I known that such was possible, I would have requested that it be implemented at once!

      Cheers again

Currently, using Snowline as my starter home, and love it. It is perfect! I am currently running Hunterborn and Skytest. Yesterday, I came home to four animals in the house: a wolf and four bucks. Weird!

Use the CK as to confirm which mod is adding the spawn point, otherwise, as it is, your report is quite unusable.

    Hello Gary

Using Snowline and Hindalok (as my starter home) in my current game and enjoying them immensely. Thank you for two lore-friendly and functional houses!

In my game the upstairs of Snowline is darker than your screenshots but fairly accurate for a high-ceiling house lit by candles. In my case I suspect RLO is the reason and not the ENB I'm running.

I'm having an odd problem with the mannequins. I often return to the house and find the mannequins are not wearing the armor I've given them. It's all still in their inventory but no longer displayed. If I remove and return it then it all appears normally. Other custom house mods with mannequins that I am currently using do not exhibit this problem. For this reason I don't think it's a load order issue because I have all the house mods clumped together in my load order. Also, whenever the mannequins issue occurs all the doors in the house are closed instead of open as I'd left them. Everything I've left in containers is all still there. Is it possible that the house is resetting for some reason?

A good question and one I don't have an answer for not having had the problem myself. Nor, I'm sorry to say, would I have any idea on how to resolve though my first inclination would be to remove the mannequins entirely as I have no particular fondness for them. If you know of or find out about a solution let me know and I'll do an update to correct the problem. Thanks.

Very nice! I was looking for a reasonably simple, lore-friendly home that didn't kill the fps on my aged machine; I was also hoping to find something that accommodates a follower or two. Your mod does a wonderful job of fitting those requirements.

The only thing I've noticed is that it does seem a shade dark. I don't use any ENBs, or lighting mods, unless Wearable Lanterns or the lamps from Solitude Furniture count. I also have my monitor at maximum brightness.
However, because of the afore-mentioned mods, the darkness can be worked around easily enough. Part of the issue, most likely, is that owing to my setup, I have varying degrees of light hitting my screen through the day.

    Thanks for sharing!

Downloading this right now. I have no doubt it will be simply amazing given the screens and comments, but I'll still be sure to let you know myself. I've been seeing a bit of your work here and you seem to be a very good modder with a tasteful simplicity to your style, which I prefer. Too many people go overboard with their mods and just don't understand that sometimes less is more.

Thank you for your contributions. I'll let you know how the mod works once I get it installed and try it out.

Thank you, rage. Nice to have that 'style' as you put it recognized. It doesn't play to the majority who are left playing this game however - which has never been my concern. To most 'more' is simply 'MORE' and desirable. Take care.

    magnificant as always!
thought i'd share the inadvertent hilarity that's been happening up at Snowy.
i took the boat from Shay's up to SL for the 1st time, and was admiring the view. i turned and saw stride past me into the house, a dog from Pets pf Skyrim, and Tauriel, a follower who stays headquartered at Drunken Huntsmen. thought that odd since those particular npcs should stay in their usual spots, which are far from SL. i go inside and there's a total of 3 dogs from Pets, Tauriel, an NPC from ETAC, and your follower from SL, all fighting 3 wolves from Skytest (i have a mod that gives you info about whatever you click on in the console, including which mods and esps it's from.
    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44596/?)
more npcs, and badies kept coming thru the living room at SL over time. different monsters from Immersive Creatures, other follower mods, mor pets, ect. i just had to wait a bit. finally i was at Riverwood when i saw some of the exact same npcs fighting right next to the SL ferry. so i think they're somehow using the ferrys as a link into SL! something like that also happened down at Shays ferry. buncha critters just appeared out of nowhere at Shays building. i honestly thing the ferry's are somehow drawing npcs to it. i mean, sure, i have mods that add enemies and even some spawn points, but i've never seen npcs that should be inside interiors, venture outside.

Funny stuff, Mookey - but as usual, at least in your latest reports, very strange. Since I made Snowline with nothing but the vanilla game installed and ran a thorough cleaning afterward one suspects that if you wish the strangeness to disappear you might try moving Snowline higher up in your load order. Not sure if that would help but it might.I do have to admit though that it does sound kinda fun. Take care, buddy, and thanks.

Wow, what a cool home mod! I LOVE this. I also can't believe there aren't more endorsements. With work like this you shouldn't need a cooler name or any name at all for that matter!
Thanks for the mod, it must have been a lot of time and work.

      Hi, Optical -
I fear too many people took my "made for a select membership" line a little too seriously perhaps and just knew it didn't include them. My bad. (Seems my odd sense of humor is always getting me in trouble.)
That or the poem - *this guy must be whacked*... or my name - *how uncool is gary62* ... or, heaven forbid, the mod isn't as wonderful as I think it is.
But I thank you for being one of the few apparently who ignored all that and for your very nice comment and endorsement.

Oh brilliant, one of my fav house mod authors of all times ( I just found out you make the Silverfish mod for Oblivion, the best house mod for that game) Hindalok,Grandfathers Farm is ALWAYS my starter home, and this one will be my reward for my many fine deeds and adventures.
