Appreciate any comments about the lighting because I use ELFX and I'm sure others use something else, but you should know that it is intended for the forgotten temple to be quite dark. I could set up base for torches you could add or remove (in-game), there is one already on the left wall before the first door inside the temple.

Also if you have any wishes for this mod, please share

    Some information:
The entrance underneath the Lover stone.
There are no NPCs, mobs, scripts or special loot inside.
The inside looks like a copy and paste of the Temple of Dibella in Markarth with a few small tweaks (there isn't a ton of gold and gems laying around for example).
It's quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Nice, calm ambiance. Could probably serve as a very comfortable home for someone who has mods to decorate.

"Neat." Not much more to say.

I'd love to see what the interior looks like. Can you post some additional pictures?

This is a wonderful mod, with ambience and it really sets an ancient temple feel to it, Absolutely love it. I hope that there are plans to do more with this.

I must say I really like the concept behind this mod, the location great makes sense.

If I can throw an idea or two your way, what about changing the entrance to a cave with dark tunnels that require exploring and lighting with torches to activate along the walls every few meters before you get to the main chamber. Sort of a mini quest to discover the hidden secrets of the temple of Dibella - why was it abandoned (or is it really?), what happened to her followers? Then possibly add a secret hatch or something from the main chamber for easier access once its explored.

I like the idea of a lone remaining vampire priestess. Maybe she got bit and didn't know how to control herself and killed her fellow followers and lovers and so she hid and remained there as she was conflicted over her service to both Dibella and Molag Bal... maybe time has changed that, maybe it hasn't...

Anyway, just what sprang to mind after reading the comments and exploring. Keep it up, this could be awesome

Thank you, and thank you for sharing your ideas!

But I want to respond to one of your ideas About having to find the temple of Dibella inside a cave.
I just didn't think there would be any reason for a temple of Dibella to be hidden away inside a cave.
Was inspired by Markarth, just thought it was fitting that the entrance was built in the mountain like that.
The temple was just forgotten, as people die and it's really old temple. But there was an event there.. something happened..

Cool, I suggested a cave initially because of the blades temple, but I agree with your point - a temple of Dibella wouldn't really be hidden away... Hmm I don’t know... Maybe simply some loose rubble from a rock slide or something might help sell it. Perhaps it's just me but the look of a pristine dwemer door under a well-known landmark such as the lovers stone (I might be wrong but if I remember correctly people make pilgrimages to these stones), doesn't give me the sense of it being simply forgotten as such.

Anyway, please don't take it as criticism merely a suggestion.

I'm was just thinking, but wouldn't it be more friendly to lore to replace the dwemor door, with something like the doors to the barrows? the official lore states, that the dwemor/dwarves didn't worship gods period. so I'm just being confused as to why there would be dwemor doors as part of the dibellan temple. just about everything else makes sense, except, the architexture fits rather well into the building the doors just seem rather odd to me.

the temple of dibella in Markarth, was inhabited and made into a temple after the dwemors left. So I'm just curious. is the temple older than the one in markarth or is it younger. Because if they forgot it, it should be much older than the dwarven based one in markarth.

p.s. all I'm really asking is if you can/would change the door style; everything else matches pretty well.

Nice, mod. I like the idea of an abandoned temple to Dibella. Endorsed!

I'm noticing lots of commentators on your mod keep yakking vampires. IMO don't add vampires. For me they are both KOS (kill on sight) and very annoying. Though a mini quest would be awesome here. Mind if I pitch an idea?

Here's what popped into my skull: After the quest for the Markarth temple, a voice tells the player to go to the stone. from there the voice directs them (via riddle if you want) to the temple beneath. A bonus, i guess would be maybe a custom enchanted armor set (and maybe a weapon) on the altar in the inner sanctum, but I think that's just me wanting a Dibella themed armor.

I like this one : ) Much better than the guys who want ANOTHER prostitution mod. They already have those -.- Those mods are (as far as I know, only having looked at them for humor and not played them) compatible with any added NPCs, so adding that to this one is not really neccessary.... Those of us who prefer to keep our hardcore sex IRL (and our Skyrim sex suggestive, but tasteful) can skip it, those who like the AP and XXX show mods (no judgement here) can make them work there too. I love this mod, Dibella is my fave divine, and it's hard to find "Dibella mods" that aren't.... yknow.... silly. So please don't make this one another one of those! This guy's idea, incorporating the vanilla quest-- that would be awesome : )

Keep up the good work! It definitely needs a simple quest, even finding a letter or something is so much better than just inexplicably owning a new area. Also it's more of a new locations mod than a player home..... But I realize it's early and I love the work you've put in so far. So endorsed : )

(no lighting problems here, but I use ELFX, apparently like the author, so that isn't really valid)

I really, really like this mod. I agree with Kirilov13 on the vampires thing, every time I fight the buggers I have to go find a temple and get cured. I do like his/her idea on a mini quest tho, and I'm another who would love a Debella-themed set of armor

you are the 2nd player home I have seen in this location the other is on steam and is called the lover's respite. so far you're idea sounds better.
here is an idea since this is a temple of dibella, why not have a quest where you can summon dibella to this world and have her and any priestess be willing to use their dibellan arts on you if you are a male character. though that might mean having to ad in a lot of animations for paired characters, it might be worth it.
on the subject of vampires, I think it should depend on what gender your player character is to determine whether the vampires are friendly or enemies as well as affliation with vampire or other factions. I mean female vampires are basically succubus aka sex crazy vampires. so if you are male the females will be friendly and seductive to you but the males would be hostile, and vice versa if the player is female.

Love this mod! My feedback: I don't think adding vampires would be a good idea, since part of the appeal is finding this empty abandoned temple to call your home, and placing NPCs in it might spoil that illusion. It was cool enough just finding the mod on my own, but if you want a quest in there, maybe just a key-fetch quest? Find a note on the door or in the Temple of Dibella, and go locate the key. I think the biggest issue with the mod right now is that it's not very liveable. It could use a bed, some cooking, some basic crafting area, etc. Maybe also add a second, hidden-from-the-outside entrance to make it follower-friendly? Lore-wise you could say the priestesses put stuff there to live a more self-sufficient monastic life. If it had some sort of living area, I would love to use this for a player-home.

looks interesting. i see alot of people throwing out ideas about having vamps inside. hopefully if u go that route theyll be "friendly" vamps otherwise the temple will get emptied pretty quick on alot of peoples games including mine. u could even add some type of quest or story where their hated by regular vamps cause they turned their back on them and went into seclusion in this temple which leads to the occasional vamp attack when u travel to the temple.

that is something i agree upon.. friendly.. but a lot of ppl do not want.. how about 2 versions and everyone will be happy.. one they are enemy and one friend.. the only issue would be the static inside killing them unless u use stealth.. any way liking this so far

Just tossing this out there... how about:

NOBLE QUEST: (after completing the Dibella quest in Markarth) you get a message by courier from the head of the Dibellan temple. Once you have visited her, she tells the story of a mysterious young girl who has stumbled into the Markarth Temple with stories of a secret Dibellan refuge, but the young woman bears the early signs of vampirism and it severely malnourished. Once healing her, she confides in you the tale about The Lover's Comfort, a lost Dibellan temple. She remembers little but suffers form horrible nightmares of blood sacrifices and evil sexual predations. At the request of the Sisters, you embark on a quest to find this lost temple. Once there, you discover a temple of Dibellan priestesses, seemingly practicing their religion as normal. However, after a few quests, you begin to suspect something in wrong. ultimately you discover that an ancient vampire is amongst the sisterhood and is using them for food and their own dark perversions. Now you must discover the identity of this dark mistress (master?) and their foul acolytes and purge the evil from the Temple, restoring it to its former glory.

EVIL QUEST: (If you are a vampire by the end of the Markarth quest) You receive a message by courier from an emissary of Harkon. HE has heard of a ancient rival who is gathering their forces in an ancient, lost Temple of Dibella. Harkon fears that a rival vampire lady (lord?) at the helm of the Dibellan Temple could poses a serious threat to his own power base. Since he is aware of your prior affiliation with the Markarth Temple, he bids you to use those contacts to find this temple, discover the identity of its secret master, destroy them and then assume their position as Master (or Mistress) of the Temple in his unholy name, controlling any acolytes and perverting the Temple in the process.

In this way, you can have vampires, but their affiliation depends on whether you are a vampire or not. Additionally, both quests would be similar enough that only the beginning and end need be different.
