Wish you could've put up a Replacer and a Standalone set for those of us with limited HD space. (Only have a 32GB SSD) Does look great tho and as you stated it SHOULDN'T have any conflicts. Since I'm just using the performance (512k) HD Paper and notes textures...this works great. (Work computer. Home...OLD laptop.) Thumbs up to you.
Well the ones you have up here already are pretty much standalone (their own texture folder.) ((This is Jr. Gramps is still in the hospital in intensive care. I'm just here taking care of his animals and using this old laptop that he refuses to retire)) A replacer version would overwrite the vanilla game textures. I personally don't have a problem with anything using the work computer ( 16tb's of HD space... ) but gramps old 32gb laptop... hehe. Thx for the superquick reply too.
Hello! The replacer models look fantastic and I would really like to use them, since I've always despised the vanilla models. However, your .nif files seem to conflict with the .nif files from the HQ Paper mod by Anarin, found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/5988/? Some conflicts include journalbasic03.nif, journalbasic02.nif, journalbasic.nif, book03.nif, etc.
I am aware that you stated that conflicts would not occur with paper replacer mods, but I seem to have discovered evidence to the contrary. Do you think you could take a look and provide a compatibility patch if necessary?
From the description that mod adds new meshes to have more book page variety. I know the meshes I offer here are compatible with texture mods, so it's not like I'm lying or anything. Did you actually try them both together to see what they'd look like? No, sorry, but I won't be making any patches.
Ah, you're right, you did say the covers would be compatible with textures. And yes, the .nif files do actually conflict in-game--I have to choose between better covers or better paper. What a shame~!
So is this a resource or a mod? I am confused because the permissions state that we need a permission to use this in our mods, but the description writes out as if it was a modder's resource.
I mean using this would make building static book displays about 5000 times easier, because currently the book meshes are horribad and the main reason I don't litter my mods with books is because I just cannot be arsed to deal with the atrocious mesh things.
Heh, well, it's a mod, actually I figure it would be alright to use it as a resource, since DanielCoffey has released the meshes and textures as resources to start with and I just assembled them in this download so they could work as replacers. I will change the permissions now.
Wonderful. I'll be littering these here bad boys all over my mod I'm working on XD
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I couldn't figure out how to efficiently utilize DanielCoffrey's resources, but you just totally solved a bunch of my problems with this!
Nope, BCS uses its own meshes and textures and does not replace the vanilla ones. As I said in the description, my new textures are in a new folder to avoid conflicts.
This is a simple replacer for vanilla books that have been added by other mods. It should work perfectly alongside Book Covers Skyrim and will pick up the large majority of vanilla-style books added by other mods.
The improvements that you should see will include better UV mapping and a lowered polygon count, particularly on the journals.

Thanks, anyway!
I'm not using the book covers so this mod turn nice the appearance of the books in my game.
