i found a mod that will be the closest thing to Samus's arm canon we'll probably get for now here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55370/? . If you could make an arm cannon based on how it's done with that, it'd be really cool
Sorry for the long delay for a response. I never saw that this received a new comment.
How to describe the status of the mod... Now that it's Summer, I'm off from college, so I have free time. I work some of those days, though, and the others I can do what I please. The thing is, do I want to spend that time playing new and exciting video games, or work on a mod for a game that's growing old? Now that we have Fallout 4, Skyrim is becoming irrelevant in a sense.
Possibly once I grow bored of playing the same games over the Summer, I will develop a will to progress on the mod.
Having seen this mod, and hearing it had some metroid prime things, I do have a idea that could prove interesting... maybe have the mini-adventure expand near the end to allow you to explore the worlds in metroid prime 1, 2 and 3. It'd be interesting to be able to revisit some areas of those games and have to deal with challenges skyrim style rather than metroid style... plus, I can imagine that you could easily make some serious fun stuff mixing things like the ing, the light and dark suits, the phazon, metroids, the world aspects... it just screams for potential of expansion and I'm personally praying you consider this. I did hear you was using vanilla assets which is a brave step to do for recreating another game within a game though... if you do take my idea, I hope you will make use of some custom assets to at least spice things up and make it all stand out a bit.
Here's hoping though! Good luck with future developments of the mod!
Personally, I would suggesting searching a larger area, finding bits and pieces of the chozo armor to turn into an armor similar to dwarven or something,
First off, let me just apologize for the late reply. Second of all, that's one heck of a vision!
In all honesty, I am really passionate about this mod and Metroid (If you couldn't tell) and would love to work on it continually. Unfortunately, I have setbacks when it comes to being able to add onto it, though. The main reason I'm only using Vanilla assets is that I am terrible at 3D modelling and creating textures. Concurrently, the reason why it takes me so long to update this mod is that I am going to university and that alone takes 80% of my time.
I fear I will not be able to make anything resembling anything from Metroid Prime 2 and 3 because those worlds are far more alien (Thus, having things that don't resemble anything from Skyrim's assets) and their 'Return to' versions wouldn't look like them.
But don't worry, I am working on the next expansion, even if it is taking me a long time. The trailer for the next expansion is 70% finished, as well. Oh, and this update does actually have a few, totally new assets.
