Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I plant the Jarrin Root in my garden I only harvest one Jarrin Root? So I'm not even getting anything out of this, I'm just planting and harvesting the same Jarrin Root over and over? Is this normal? I was under the impression that planting one jarrin root would yield a return of at least 4-5 Jarrin roots? What's the point of this mod?

This is intentional, as far as I can tell. DO NOT re-plant the Jarrin root. It will regrow over time (a few in-game days).

I've waited about 10 in-game days and it doesn't regrow back.

Technically this is the best mod for an alchemist, a little overpowered because the nature of the poison, but lore friendly nonethless.
    Very good mod thanks.

actually unlore friendly, jarring root only grows on an island in hammerfel.

Are you saying that I can't get a plant that grows in United States and plant it here in Brazil where I live? Even if it needs certain weather or temperature conditions to survive, I can replicate it... this technique was used far back in medieval era (real life).
      So... it IS lore friendly!

While it is true that there are many plants and trees that can be found in one area and successfully cultivated in another, in the real world there are still many plants that can only be found in one area and nowhere else. Some of these plants cannot be cultivated or ever found elsewhere. This is because the areas they are from have very specific conditions that the plants rely upon to thrive. Some examples are:

Pandanus candelabrum - only grow in diamond-bearing kimberlite soil.
Dracula simia - only found in Peru and Southeastern Ecuador at altitudes of over 914 meters.
Caleana major - only found in the Australian wilds and cannot be cultivated because it has a symbiotic relationship to a vegetative fungus not found elsewhere.
Rafflesia keithii - only found in the rainforests of Indonesia.
Silene tomentosa - only found in Gibraltar.

These are just some of the many examples. In game, the Jarrin Root which is only found on Stros M'kai, may be a plant that needs to be grown alongside of another plant. Or it may be able to survive only in very mineral rich soil. Maybe only the most talented of botanists have been able to get it to grow elsewhere after years and years of dedication. Unfortunately, without further information it is difficult to say just how lore friendly or not this mod is.

      @Endermayn

All of those plants you listed are only found in those locations- in the wild.
All of them can be cultivated in other locations provided you take meticulous care to replicate their growing conditions.

Now, you might say that your Dovahkiin is no gardener, and it would be lore-unfriendly for you to be able to take care of such a high-need plant in a way that is good enough to propogate- but my PC actually specializes in alchemy and gardening for roleplay, so your mileage may vary.

TL;DR- only as lore-unfriendly as you want

The mod description is lacking vital information. Such as how to use this mod.

Are seeds bought at certain vendors? Are there pre-made harvestable plants in the player home's gardens? Does one need to complete the Dark Brotherhood quest to get the one parent plant that all other plants are grafted from?

A warning to everyone that reads this: IF you are USING Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (CACO), this mod (Plantable Jarrin Root) must be loaded after said mod (CACO), otherwise it won't work!

This works! Just tried it and I'm happy to say I can plant it in a Hearthfire planter or the garden, if I desire. I'm working on a character from Stros M'kai, the only place where Jarrin Root was originally said to grow, and therefore it made a perfect ingredient for an alchemically inclined sailor to concoct poisons specific to the region of her nativity. Now I'm working on getting a properly working plant-able Nirnroot mod... because its an aquatically oriented substance which can be found anywhere on Nirn where bodies of water exist. Makes sense, don't you think? ;-)
Thank you for helping me specialize my Redguard sailor!

P.S.- Have your first kudos on me... you've earned it!

Thanks for the kind words, I am happy to hear that! Have fun! I am sure there is already a mod for the Nirnroot but if there isnt let me know I can make one. Immersion is always good to increase. Good luck to your Redguard!

Any chance of being able to do this with a script instead of an esp?
