YES! thank you, NPCs volumes are so low I have to turn up the sound, but when I forget to turn sound back down before questing in dungeons.., "Well Ya Know". Now only if I can find one that would lower the Players power attack sound in first person view. That "YAAA!!!" (single power attack). or YAAA! YAAA! YAAA!!! (for dual power attack). Or even replace it with "Take That" or multi power attack catch phrases from movies. LOL
Love this idea, those Draugr shouts were cutting my ears into bleeding ribbons. Other loud and/or annoying sounds I've noticed are the clip-clopping of spider feet (sounds like they're wearing extra-loud shoes) and the leveling-up sound effect. Maybe it's just my system, but the last part of it is painfully high-pitched and sharp. Like someone already said, the Thieve's guild door (the secret one in the graveyard). I know there's already a mod for that, and for the spider feet also (that one removes the sound entirely, I think), but it'd be nicer to get rid of all the annoying sounds at once. Bears are also loud and annoying, especially the sound of their footsteps. Too loud, plus the noise itself is horrible, I'd never ever guess it was supposed to be heavy paws on soft ground if I heard it without a bear attached. Oh, hey, more annoying footsteps! Maybe you can't do anything about it, but follower footsteps tend to be a problem for me in 3rd person pov. They're right below the camera, and much louder than your own footsteps, or any other sounds for that matter. I also agree with the poster who said that combat noises are too loud in general. I'm all for realism, but having to constantly raise and lower the volume is immersion-breaking too. I'm sure I'll think of more annoying noises the next time I play
Great idea. One question. I find it very annoying that ambient noises (forest, city, frogs, birds, horses, etc) are on the same volume level as efx sounds such as drawing swords, spell casting and grunts, etc. Have you noticed this too and considered upping the ambient noises or conversely reducing efx noises? I find that the two sets of sounds are not in good balance. I'm constantly wishing the efx sounds were reduced so that I can hear the background come through. As it is, I have to reduce the volume and almost lose all the ambient sounds which is so immersive...
Great Mod! has anyone else got a problem with overly loud wind gushing inside players home?? what's the deal with that? sounds like I'm living in a factory. Can anyone help?? Thanks
RO DAH from Draug is still terribly loud :S I hope you will find it soon. I'm also trying to find the person in bathseda which is responsible for this extremly loud Ro Dah, I will shout him to death :p
