I've managed to get all the furniture exactly where I want it, but now I can't seem to figure out how to get the activation points to move with it. It's very weird to have to go to the other side of the room to activate a cooking spit. XD Can you please help? I'm not even sure how to find the marker to even try to move it.
Great tutorial, thank you . Ran into my first issue spawning an object. I spawned a chair and it was laying on its side, so tried again, and then again. All spawned on their sides. So, ok, I'll just rotate the dang thing. Well, I can move xyz pos as much as I want, but I cannot rotate this chair upright. It will not move no matter what xyz angle, or rotate, I use. Any ideas?
Ok, clunk and cancel. I figured it out. lol
bah...I figured out how to spawn them upright, but they do not want to turn at all. XYZ pos, yes, but will not angle. And, in some places they will not spawn facing forward...very strange indeed.
Are the storage items, such as barrels, safe, when you place them yourself with the "placeatme" command? Or do they respawn as most outdoor storage do?
I just spawned a Torch Sconce (9151E), when I left/re-entered the cell it spawned it's own torch (1D4EC, the normal kind I think). It was lit it just didn't generate any light ">
Oh well.
JillySol, have you tried entering help [theitemyouwanthere] 0 to see what the IDs are? for example help forge 0 tells you that Blacksmith Forge is BF9E1 (or CAE0B your preference, look for the FURN IDs) then you can enter player.placeatme BF9E1 and a Blacksmith Forge should appear infront of you.
when I try to do this I keep getting errors says that it can't find the object or no script (doing something wrong here) wish this had a construction set.
Yeah, you're right Lunaris, the torch will always drop to the floor every time you load the game. But I am sure there's a way to make it stick there, because I've placed other things with the console exactly where I wanted them to be, and they stayed there.
If only we could find a way to make the game remember object position, that would be great.
But how did you spawn a non-lit torch on the sconce? Anyway, I tried just about anything, even torchforceequip didnt work, seems we have to wait for the CK I think.
Could you elaborate morpheas768? I've placed my torch sconce where I want it but so far no combination of torch placements seems to stay put, whenever I reload the cell the sconce spawns a torch of its own (which generates no light). So far no light generating torches have stayed in the sconce whether placed there by me of the console
I managed to get torches to stick to the wall. You have to spawn a torch sconce, position it wherever you want, then select it and spawn a torch, but not any torch, it needs to be a specific one. The torch will be placed in the torch sconce, and will stay wherever the sconce is.

It needs a lot of work to make it perfect though.
