That's a problem with the game, my friend, this is a simple retexture and nothing more.

I've never seen them falling in those places, maybe some other mod, in your load order is causing the weird problem.

It stops after the next script engine pass.

I'm pretty familiar with a lot of the mods which you use and the ones that I'm not familiar with, don't strike me as being the culprit. I do know that 'skyBirds - Airborne Perching Birds' is very buggy and does cause problems which is why I stopped using it, excellent mod, though. I'm not saying it is anything to do with it but it is pretty script heavy.

The problem with deactivating it, to see if it is what is causing your issues, is that the scripts become embedded in your saves. So to test it properly, you would have to start a new game or start a new game and use a cheat to give you fast travel to anywhere. If it turns out to be then you would have to start a new game anyway to cleanse the scripts or try a save cleaner.

Yes I know the birds mod has a few caveats, and I will not use it next new game. I have no problem with removing mods, I'm familiar with the process to remove, use save cleaner and save tool, to remove objects and finally orphaned scripts and script instances. Had good experiences with this. May be I will work on it for this birds mod, to see if there are dependencies. For now I'm fine when the little issue goes away after a minute.

      [Update]
Removed SkyBirds mod and gained a lot of performance from the scripting engine. Will not use them again. Fixed also the delay on scripting and leaves stops falling in ratway immediately when entering, same with other loacations. So I'm pretty sure it was occured by delayed scripting caused by thousands of scripting instances of SkyBirds mod. SaveTool mod deleted nearly 28000 orphaned instances from my savegame after I removed SkyBirds mod.

It appears that the "Birds" triad is actually not/no longer buggy. It has recently been REMOVED from the dangerous mods sites/lists and steve40 has been "vindicated"/ apologized to by Nazenn. The whole dangerous mods testing methodology has now been updated because of the debacle.

Steve40 had consistently refused to admit any problems with his modding. Steve40 was the one who revamped, patched and coordinated all three birds mods work together (Skybirds/Birds&Flocks/Airborn nesting birds) and -- has now helped Ruhadre (who is the latest patches author) to create new patches for all these which further increase/ensure playing together well for all three birds mods.

I love all three birds mods, but don't know enough to have a personal opinion or to "know" what the full truth is, I'm just posting the info for everyone to make a good decision about these three mods. I use them now, but tested and then avoided them because of the debacle and because of a bit of verifiable script lag and the undeniable minor (but not ongoing) save size increase/bloat they will cause, as lots of birds and their data gets hatched.

      Overall update for dangerous list:

    Hi ramccoid,

this one now is no. 9 of your mods I am running atm. Hope this is not boring when saying again - as usual - thank you for another gem.
No idea how I could overlook that one- so far - as I did concerning your other ones. Thank you for this as well.

I am not exactly happy, that endorsements of your mods are at about 10% - estimated - in relation to the number of downloads. Mmh, I currently have issues with editing comments/posts on Nexus atm., maybe other users have issues in clicking on "endorse" - as far as they are not blind
    or short sighted ... ;-)

    Thanks again, see you.

If only the same effort was put into endorsing mods from everybody that has been put into endorsing a protest mod, the Nexus community would be a far more satisfying place. It's totally ridiculous, it makes you feel like, what's the point in sharing your mods, when it appears people only appreciate it if it's something that's a gimmick which stands up for their own selfish needs. All it seems to say is 'I want everything free so I can go back to taking everything for nothing and completely contributing absolutely nothing to the community'. I'm starting to think that I've been wasting my time by the attitudes which have been displayed this past couple of days.

I checked out 'Realistic Aspen Trees' and in game, it does make the trees look a lot more beautiful. I'll be using it from now on.
Now I'm going to have to make a version to fit with the variety of coloured leaves. Back to the CK.

      Neat!

[edit]Keep an eye on your LOD with that. I have posted what I did to fix a stacking problem... but it might be different than what others had/have. It is also quite possible that this issue is fixed by now. If you have any strangness with your pine LOD's... check the post section.

The LoD problem was fixed a long time ago less there is a new one. I remember messing around for a long time with my LoD files when I had it, turns out something to do with SFO, the patch and so on. I can't remember how I fixed it, but I got it working.

I haven't notice any oddities with the LOD at all. As drbeavis has stated, it must have been fixed at some point but it is still a brilliant mod and thanks for directing me to it.

"Anticipating the Realistic Aspen Trees version"

I plan to cover this as soon as I have finished the mod that I am working on at the moment, which is very near to completion.
In fact, the idea has grown a little bit in my mind since I've thought about it more and I'll be able to incorporate the extras in the regular version, too.
So watch this space, as they say because I am looking forward to starting work on it.

I did look into it and tried to get it to work but it's a camera effect and I just can't seem to find a way to apply multiple camera effects at once in the creation kit. I can't seem to find how to activate camera effects.
I haven't forgotten, I just haven't figured out how to do it yet. Don't give up on me yet.

With vanilla please. I am a bit worried about possible performance hit, because even though I do have more or less hi-end PC, my game is rather heavily modded (not an extreme, but still a lot), and I am not sure what lots of 1k res flying objects on the screen could do.

No, they were not up scaled they were down scaled, the 2k version was the original. I downloaded the file to see if I had mistakenly put the wrong version in the zip (easily done dealing with so many versions to content with) but it turned out to be the right one, with it.
It hasn't changed from version 2.0, it's exactly the same texture used, so I don't understand what could be happening. Did it do it with version 2.0? If not just simply use the texture from that version. Otherwise, I'll repack and re-upload if anymore people are having the same problem, that's all I can do because the texture appears to be how it should be, as seen in the screenshots.

And by the way, I'm a big fan of your mods.

This looks a pretty cool mod but I just thought I'd say that this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6387/? (Skyrim performance plus) also changes the resolution of the aspen leaves, to add to the (currently empty) conflict list.

I am aware of that mod but it is assuming that everyone rushes from one area to another without paying much or any attention to what's going on in their surroundings.
You might as well fast travel everywhere if you are going to be totally oblivious to all the details and not use mods like SFO, WATER, COT, etc. which are all performance lowering.
I personally like to be more immersed in the world and find myself walking my character through the environments more often than not and lapping up the changes that texture and environment mods improve, I'm not in any rush to get from beginning to the end of the game.
So it's all down to the way you play and what experience you want out of the game.

Uhm, that mod is meant to help performance, not just aimed at people who don't want to pay attention to the small details but whose computers simply can't HANDLE a small detail like these leaves at their vanilla resolution. I used that mod for a very long time when I had a lower-end computer, and it was a huge help in the areas where these leaves fell. It wasn't out of choice, it was necessity to help my computer run the game.

I totally agree with you, if your system can't handle the default sizes then you would need to reduce them but you wouldn't be looking at enhancing the visual appearance of any part of the game in the first place. So you wouldn't be searching for mods like this one or even mods that are script heavy.
I do realise there are lots of people who would benefit greatly from a mod like that but I reckon they will have no interest in downloading any version of this mod.
Don't get me wrong, the mod is brilliant and well thought out and for the reason it was created, it does a fantastic job.

what sucks is mods like this really make those small differences really stand out. However choosing what mods to use because of a 3.1GB limit on Skyrim really blows chunks because I'm already pushing 2.9RAM and 2.7VRAM and I use a lot of texture mods at high resolution and although the game looks absolutely breathtaking. I can't go much further even if my system can handle it because it will CTD hitting max. This is on a beast of a computer too btw with 4GBDDR5 DCII 290X ASUS, 16GB @2600mhz and 8 core 8350 on liquid O.C to 5.0ghz and I can't go further not because of system limitations but because of the games limitations. Props to Bethesda for such a limited game.

On the flipside it's thanks to Bethesda that modders are allowed to even make mods like this, so don't be TOO harsh on them.
Though I am curious as to why there's a limit in the first place. Perhaps it has something to do with their outdated game engine or something?

It would of been nice to have a 64bit game engine for Skyrim instead of using the same old outdated, patched up 32bit gamebryo (I reckon you can thank the old xbox and playstation for that).
I've always used 1k textures as a compromise which allows me to use many more graphical mods without any serious issues to gameplay.
Maybe the next game, probably a Fallout, will have a decent enough engine that will allow high end rigs to perform to their best potential now that the consoles have finally been upgraded but will it still be able to be modded as extensively, will be the question ...

Are you using ENBoost or an ENB? From the little you said, it will fix your problem and allow you to go much further. For added protection you should use Sheson's Memory Patch. There are a few varieties but it's included in SKSE 1.7.0 alpha or you can use SKSE 1.6.16 and a mod here on called SSME. Just search for it. The 3.1gb limit will then no longer be an issue (unless you put 4-8k textures on everything). Give it a go!

I totally agree with Jafin16 and Ivanish. They are brilliant tools for improving performance and should always be used for a more stable game.
I'm not using the ENBoost at the moment because I am only modding and it causes Mod Organiser to take it's time with starting up the game, which is annoying when you have to keep stopping and starting plenty of times just to check out small alterations that have been made to a mod, but when I finally start to play the game for real, I'll be using it without any doubt.

      Hi,
Though i would just give an example of how this mod works perfectly whith what i am running atm without any crashes, freezes, bugs or conflicts

      RealVision ENB
      CoT
      CoT Weather Patch
Supreme Storms for Climates of Tamriel
      Realistic Lighting Overhaul
EWIs High SkyrimPrefs and inis v01b by ewi65

Those will make your game look awesome and ENBoost is included there (just go to the Realvision ENB site to get going)

Now that you made Skyrim Beautiful (option available both with or wihthout DoF) You should use these to make it überstable:
      SKSE
SkyUi (not improving stability but its improving the game so i added it here )
      Skyrim Project Optimization
SSME - Skyrim Startup Memory Editor
      BOSS
TES5Edit (Gopher has a youtube vid showing you how to use it)
Save game script cleaner by Hadoram

I hope no1 takes offense that i wander off-topic. Just saw that some players still seem to crash in skyrim when there are fixes out there that now eliminate skyrims crash problems alltogether.
