Sorry, it's unlikely that there will be an update for this mod any time soon. There are a lot of other things that are using up my free time and am unable to continue with this. Have been for a while.
Also sucks this isn't being updated anymore. The Dwemer Automations should be "allied" to players who are Deep Elfs sense they were made to serve and protect them in general.
@masternetra Exactly. This should be a passive racial abillity. If I knew how to mod or where to learn it, had the Tools needed for it and the premission, I would add just that. (And maybe tweak some things. Maybe add a shorter variation to be downloaded seperately, adding actual dwarfs in the Procces. Not Lore-friendly, but who cares.)
@Armilus, having it work much like the wood elf command animal is fine - in fact command automaton will work for a much longer duration roughly the time difference is comparable to summoning an atronach versus a thrall spell for the same type of atronach. The passive boost to smithing is a nice bonus especially early on when Dwemer weapons weigh less than elven and with your advantage smithing skill damage differences would make the weight increase a bad bargain.
Take a look at GuruSR's Friendly Vampires mod. It allies vampire players with other undead in the game. You could see how that author accomplished that and apply it to this concept.
Next update will be an update to Racial Compatibility support. right now, this mod uses the 1-7 from expired. I'm going to be updating it to the one by TMPhoenix.
I've been using this excellent race for the past few days, and as expected I had to upgrade the Racial Compatibility mod to TMPhoenix's to get the Dawnguard quests to advance after rejecting Harkon. So far, so good with just dropping that in even mid-game; the only weirdness I saw was LOOT screwing up the sort order for one of the optional ESPs (putting the rc-uskp patch after better vampires.) but that's just LOOT not being fully baked yet.

The only thing this mod needs NO EXCEPTIONS is to have the Deep Elven Dwemmer Automatons be allied to the player, because they are a part of the Dwemmer faction and you are there rightful creator as a deep elf so they WOULD NOT ATTACK YOU!!!!!
What happened to the Falmer race mod? I uninstalled the game for a while and then when I come back a few months later, I find it gone off of the nexus? It was my favorite mod :((((((
I hate to ask anyone to put in work or whatever, but could anyone hook me up with HD versions of the new dwemer warpaints so they're not all pixelated, or tell me how I would go about doing it myself?
Tried it out today. I am very pleased with the aesthetics !! the tattoos and skin tones really bring to life what you expected to see if a dwemer spectre from morrwind came back to life !! Also those eye options !! stellar. Not sure if the racial power is supposed to last 86.000 seconds but w/e I just hope the reason for it doesn't mean my game will crash.

Just change the War Paint or Body Paint on RaceMenu.
