I really like this very much. Thank you so very much for all the hard work. Like Novem99 I would really appreciate some colour variations if you are able to do some editing.
I think I've seen (and tested) all of the popular and even less popular mountains mods here on Nexus and these textures are definitely the ones with the highest quality. Even if you get real close you see no blur. So it's really a shame it hasn't the attention it deserves.
@pannonia: I'd love to see a version of this mod with some color variation. Maybe a darker grey or a brownish version. Anyways, thanks for your awesome work!
Hi Novem99! I actually had some different versions (of color) a few months ago, unfortunately my hard drive failed and lost all my files (including non-game oriented documents). I think, I can still download my mod and try to do some editing. Yes, I did a lot of testing using various textures and most other mods use pictures (taken with a camera), while this mod uses a texture, that was generated by a texture creator program and used vector graphics (tiny details are also visible) and I transferred them to be .dds files. Basically, these files are "lossless", meaning they were never compressed into .jpeg or .bmp., but straight from the texture creator software, they were immediately made into .dds (directdraw) textures.
I really like these textures. I have an AMD Radeon HD 7870 with 2GB VRAM and using the 4k textures gives no performance loss at all. I turned on the 4k normal maps and didn't see a difference. What difference do you see?
Under my settings (mainly Project ENB), this is the only mod that offers "improvement" over Skyrim HD at 2K during normal play as opposed to the other mods where I couldn't tell if it is actually better or just "different". Thanks.
You can use any of your favorite textures you want the normal maps. Just as how most people use the vanilla normal maps with their favorite texture mod (for example: Skyrim HD uses the same normal maps as vanilla).
It looks awesome. Wish I had the capacity to use them. But I will certainly download and endorse and see later if I can keep at least some of the quality with 2K?

Can you add different texture for mountainslab02 and add also landscape/rockset.dds + normal map?
